Afegiu les dades de la vostra empresaThe name of this Haute-Garonne site may be La Ferme Bleue, but the views are very definitely green. Many shades of green, in fact – with lots of trees and plants (including a vast assortment of vegetables) on the farm itself and the tree-covered slopes of the Pyrenees in the background.
This scenic and peaceful farm site is just on the edge of Montmaurin, a short walk from the village’s archaeological site/museum and the municipal swimming pool (open in the summer months). Restaurants and small shops are dotted around several local villages, and there are supermarkets about 15 minutes’ drive away in Boulogne-sur-Gesse.
Exploring the area might take you to local attractions like gardens, châteaux, lake beaches and treetop adventure parks; looking a little further afield, a drive of a little over an hour will take you north to Toulouse or south to the Pyrénées-Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park for mountain hikes.
Whichever outings you choose, you’ll be coming back to a quiet rural site with flat pitches in either sunny or shaded spots. Each one has water and low-voltage electricity connections, plus access to a good range of handy facilities including a washing machine, a barbecue, wifi and a toilet block.
For a bit of downtime on site you can play games of darts, table tennis or pétanque, or take a soak in the hot tub; there’s also a paddling pool for the kids to splash about and cool off in.

Don’t feel like driving? You can have a good day out right there in Montmaurin, which is home to the remains of a huge Gallo-Roman villa (one of the largest known in France, in fact) and an associated museum with a great mosaic collection. After exploring that, take a dip in the municipal pool, which is open in summer with a main pool and a kids’ pool.
For more dips, head to the lake beach at Lac de la Gimone (25 minutes’ drive) or the inflatables of AquaParc Pyrénées (half an hour). For more activity, go canoeing or horse riding, or clamber up into the trees at N’CO Park (all half an hour). Something a little gentler? Take a stroll around Les Jardins de la Poterie Hillen (15 minutes).
For a big day out, head to Toulouse (an hour and 15 minutes) to wander through the Old Town, visit the Cité de l’Espace, check out all the museums, take a river/canal boat trip and get your fill of the local cassoulet.

Em va agradar Nothing
No em va agradar Do not go to this campsite! When we arrived it was very clear that the site was not fit for guests. It is on a farm and despite it being clear that there were people in the farmhouse, no one came to the door. The ‘hot tub’ (large paddling pool) clearly had not been used and was not fit for purpose. The site felt unsafe for two women to stay at.
