L'Espace Blue Océan

L’Espace Blue Océan is the achievement of a local man who fought to protect his local environment and the Landes forest. It is with great pleasure that the host invites you to discover the natural beauty of this area at this lovely campsite with pitches, chalets and mobile homes to hire under the shade of the pine trees. The campsite strives to give families an environmentally-friendly place to enjoy their holiday and where nature is at the centre of all activities. On site there is a swimming pool heated by solar power, cycle routes directly to the beach and plenty of walking routes through the forest where guests can discover the flora and fauna of the woodlands. The infrastructure is an eco-lover’s paradise with energy-saving lighting, water-saving measures in place around the campsite, and rainwater barrels to ensure nature's resources are put to good gardening use so we don't require hosepipes. Recycling and compost points are also available for guests and there is limited car movement on site to help safeguard the tranquility on site and that clean holiday air. The campsite has a children’s playground, mini farm (which is home to donkeys, goats, peacocks and geese), ping pong tables, pétanque court area and a multisport playing field. Guests have access to washing facilities with washing machines, dryers and an iron available to loan from reception. Wifi can be accessed on 90% of the campsite for a small daily fee and guests have an hour’s free wifi at reception every day. During July and August many extra activities and facilities are made available including a bar, restaurant and pizzeria area serving local dishes from 6pm in the evenings. There is a communal barbecue area and a fresh bread and pastry point in the mornings and evenings. Local producers come on site to sell their regional products and goods to guests, many of which are organically produced. An entertainment team is on hand during this period as well to ensure that daily and evening activities keep all guests busy from Sunday evening to Friday. Activities include sports tournaments, aqua aerobics, guided walks, tasting sessions, quizzes, dance and singing shows. There are activities for all ages including children’s activities based on environmental topics and subjects. The location of the campsite gives you easy access to Ondres beach within just a few minute’s walk away (one kilometre) or you can take the free shuttle bus in July and August.

Itineraris

From Bordeaux/north of France/Spain/south of France: Take the A63 motorway and come off at Exit 7 for 'Ondres'. From Toulouse/east of France: Take the motorway A64 to Bayonne and then follow Bordeaux on the A63 and take Exit 7 for 'Ondres'. By train: you can take the TGV to Bayonne or Dax train station and then the regional train or bus to Ondres. By plane: Biarritz Airport is approximately 20 minutes away from the campsite. From the airport, take the A63 motorway following Bordeaux and come off at Exit 7 for 'Ondres'. Bordeaux airport is approximately two hours away from the campsite.

L'Espace Blue Ocean is located on Ondres beach between Tarnos and Labenne, just a few minutes from Bayonne. Its location is ideal for enjoying the wonderful and vast Landes beaches. You can easily reach the Basque region and the various seaside resorts in the area including Biarritz, Bidart, St Jean de Luz and Hendaye. Ondres is a small village which is ideal for calm and peaceful holidays close to all of the main tourist attractions: Biarritz, Capbreton, Hossegor (approximately 20 minutes away), la Rhune (approximately 45 minutes away) and the religious pilgrimage site of Lourdes (approximately two hours away). The location of the campsite allows guests to happily leave their cars behind and hop on a bike to Labenne (approximately 10 minutes away) or Capbreton (approximately 30 minutes away) thanks to the excellent cycle routes which run under the shade of the trees.
