Rustique indeed is Camping Le Pommier Rustique, surrounded as it is by a peaceful part of the Wallonia region. But though it may be rural, it’s also rather well connected – the village of Durnal is a 10-minute stroll away and the slightly larger Spontin a five-minute journey by car or bus. You could head to either for supermarket supplies if you’re self catering, or delegate all cooking activities to the folk on site. This, after all, is a place that likes its food: the café serves up a range of warm dishes, grilled goodies and snacks, including proper Belgian fries (woe betide anyone that dares call them French fries…) Ice creams, coffees and cocktails are also on the menu, as is a fine range of Belgian beers to sample your way through. To atone for some of those hamburgers, croque monsieurs and beers, you may opt to have a workout at the outdoor gym, play a game of volleyball or hire bikes for a ride in the rural surrounds – any such efforts can be rewarded with a soak in the Jacuzzi or a steamy session in the sauna. Kids, meanwhile, can let off steam at the playgrounds (one for the real tiddlers, the other for slightly older ones) or bouncing on the trampoline. Table tennis and pétanque are also here for folk who fancy a gentle level of activity, and high-season guests can join in with frequent tournaments. Win or lose, there’s often a party to restore friendships of an evening, or a big sporting event on the TV to divert your attentions.

Em va agradar Friendly staff, good sized pitches that were mostly level. Friture was good and good price. Boulangerie service was delivered directly to our pitch! WiFi was brilliant

Em va agradar Lovely location.. great view and good sized pitches.

No em va agradar Everything was closed.. no one at reception. No food, no sauna or jakuzzi.
There was a sign to say chose a pitch and someone would be at reception at 6pm, we did and went back twice rang the number.. no answer.
At 9.30 pm I was ready for bed, a man drove past our van and knocked on it asking for payment! Made us jump and the dogs bark!
It was €34 a night.. we’ve stayed at much nicer places a lot cheaper!
The guy did explain there had been a family emergency but I’m sorry.. someone else should have been there at 6!

actualy , we are more quiet than July and August , so bar/snackbar/ friterie... closed on thusday and wenesday ; reception open in principe at 6/6.30 pm ; if there is nobody , no problem , you choose a pitch by yourself , it is written everywhere ...
and after , no stress , ... we are coming when possible ... I do not pay somebody to stay at the reception for hours , from 6 till 9 pm because in the week , camping is staying very quiet ! I m the owner and I prefer coming after my work and specialy on monday , after my training judo , so maybe 21.00/21.30 ... if you are sleeping , I never disturb people sleeping ; if you are honnest , the next day , befor e going on , you ll put some money in the office box ; you probably paid 34 euros because you were 3 or 4 peoples , had dogs , electricity , touristtaxes ,...
for your info , for 2 pers , in the week (at the moment, end September) , it is 18 € (+ elec + touristtaxes + dog(s) ?) absolute normal prices for campings ... we are open all the year ; in the Winter , low prices ... but bar/snackbar open only on Friday/Saturday for this periode ...

Em va agradar Localização excelente, perto de vários pontos turísticos e com ônibus na porta. Banheiros e áreas de lavar roupas e louças limpos e novos. Atendimento excelente, mini mercado e lanchonete a funcionar durante a semana.

No em va agradar A recepção e a lanchonete poderiam funcionar um horário mais estendido.

Em va agradar Good size private grass and hard standing pitch with excellent views. Walkable to Spontin which was lovely. Friendly staff.

No em va agradar Ladies Showers need more hooks and the water was not a constant temperature …ended up showering in cold water twice 🥶

Em va agradar The gent who checked us in was nice, the site is spacious and in a very good location.

No em va agradar At 2:30am a family arrived in pitch 109, from the moment they arrived they were so loud, banging tent pegs, blowing up the inflatable tent, kids screaming, parents talking loudly, car engine going… it didn’t stop all night… in the end by 5:30am I’d had enough and just packed up and left. I had to tell them to be quite multiple times and didn’t get any sleep from the moment they arrived

Who lets someone check into a campsite at 2:30am? The website stated check in times…

The toilet blocks are dated, no soap and no toilet roll, loads of spiders in males showers also.

Del gerent: Hello, we care a lot about the well-being of our guests and cannot accept noise during the night; we confronted the noisy guests in the morning and showed them the door! Your well-being (and ours) comes first.
too bad you left...!
As for toilet paper and soap, learn, dear English camper, that in Belgium, these are not automatically provided in campsites;
that said, we do sell them at our reception office.

Em va agradar Location in the countryside is very pretty and peaceful. Excellent bar and Friterie. Fresh bread etc delivered in the mornings (order the day before). Friendly and helpful staff.

No em va agradar Shower and toilet facilities are adequate but no toilet paper or soap provided and the water temperature in showers varied a lot.

If you’re after more activity once you’ve warmed up on site, divert to Dinant Evasion (20 minutes’ drive), an adventure park with treetop trails, paintballing and kayaking, or aim for Yvoir Island (20 minutes) for waterskiing, swims and high-speed inflatable rides on the river. Cycle trips are a fine way to get out and about locally; if you fear going astray from your chosen route, banish any such possibilities by getting in the saddle at Les Draisines de Molignée (25 minutes), a velorail that runs along an abandoned railway line through the pretty Molignée valley. Another fab ride nearby is the cable car in Dinant (20 minutes), which glides up to its medieval fortress for some excellent views. Château de Vêves (15 minutes) is worth a stop if you like a handsome building, as is the slightly bonkers Grotte Saint Antoine De Padoue (10 minutes), an elaborate manmade rock church. Love the Belgian beers? See where some of them come from at Brasserie de Bocq brewery (10 minutes), where tours are signed off with samples to sip.
