Vodatent at Camping Siesta is a sweet spot for a nap. But there's loads more going for it too… this seven-hectare Flanders site sits among trees near Belgium and France's border, around a 10-minute drive from Malle in the Antwerpen region for easy explores. As it’s set in a wooded area, walking and cycling can be had straight from the park – just ask at reception for recommendations on top roams and rides.
Mornings are excellently sorted here too, with fresh rolls to be picked up from reception, and breakfast baskets available on weekdays and Saturdays (just order in advance). And for evening eats? Site restaurant La Cantina is the spot for snacking and supping seven days a week – pick from local delicacies such as Belgian fries and beer – or sort out your own suppers by bagging a spot at one of the communal barbecues.
Activities including a kids' club are held in the rec room in summer, and the site also has a trampoline and playground if small travellers are eager to be outdoors. Adults can while away the time in the open air too by organising games of petanque on the site’s court.
If it's seriously sunny, swims and waterskiing can be had at a lake 10 minutes’ drive away, or you could head five minutes further to the Netepark pool for subtropical dips in cooler weather.

The sleepy-sounding nature of Vodatent at Camping Siesta’s name belies its convenient location: the Mega Speelstad indoor play area is a five minute drive away (a most nifty option if the weather's uncooperative) and it’s 15 minutes to the trails at Zoerselbos forest.
For city strolls, Antwerp half an hour away is a top spot for window shopping in the old Diamond District, or seeking out Flemish Renaissance architecture such as the central Grote Markt. Arty sorts should also check out the 17th-century Rubens House works by Baroque artist Peter Paul Rubens.
Exotic entertainment comes courtesy of the elephants, otters and chimps of Olmense Zoo 45 minutes' drive away, while historical sightseeing can be had around Ghent's medieval centre and ornate bridges, an hour and 15 minutes from the site.
