Grass pitches (added by manager 09 Sep 2022)

Sitting in 25 acres of West Wales countryside and with great views of the surrounding valley, The Marsh is well placed for exploring the coastlines of both Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire around Carmarthen. With multiple kids’ attractions within half an hour’s drive, this is a top-notch spot for families with active kids – and their dogs are welcome too. It’s also a cracking choice for anglers, as they can practise casting for salmon, sea trout and bass amid a glorious backdrop of birdsong along the Taf river (extra cost). If you’re looking for a relaxing day on site, have a potter along its nature trails or wander down to the Taf for a waterside stroll. To up the pace a bit, head to the seaside town of Tenby (half an hour’s drive) for splashing around in the sea and boat trips to Caldey Island, or go sailing and windsurfing in Saundersfoot (25 minutes). Back on site, there’s a variety of grass pitches (some uneven and unmown) and simple facilities stretch to a washing-up area, a portable toilet and ice-pack freezing to keep barbecue goodies fresh. Pick up basics in the village of St Clears – where you can also down a caffeine fix – or do bigger shops in Laugharne (both five minutes), home to a ruined castle and displays in the Dylan Thomas Writing Shed. If you prefer, you could dodge the cooking completely and pick up fish and chips to eat back at camp or try a couple of Pembrokeshire brews in a local pub.

Em va agradar: On arrival, the friendliness of the owner and thoughtfulness, was fab. We booked a grass pitch for our van (not motorhome) and Huw was so thoughtful... considering 'which was the sun would rise, in conjunction to our van setup. Great home or locally made produce was available too. Facilities are simple but ample and clean. This is a great location for people who want to enjoy the more peaceful side of camping :-)

Em va agradar: An absolute hidden gem, amazing wildlife, peaceful and relaxing surroundings, which made for the perfect child free weekend. The campsite is safe, well kept with clean amenities and a lovely little honesty shed with local supplies including meat from Huw’s farm, which was beautiful! Huw, the owner was so accommodating and really lovely to chat to, we thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at such a beautiful place and will definitely look to return to our new found, little place of sanctuary!

Em va agradar: Really friendly chatty owner, we paid for a grass pitch but he upgraded us to a hard standing pitch for our van which was absolutely perfect due to the poor weather. Toilets and showers were so nice and spotless!! Had an absolutely lovely stay.

Em va agradar: Where do I start? Huw is an amazing host, funny, welcoming and knowledgeable about the wildlife. He even went to pick me some super fresh eggs laid on the day. The little honesty shop is a nice touch. Great bacon and all meat produce is from Huw’s farm. The site is super safe with easy to open gates which are there for practical and safety reasons. Made me feel very safe at night. The toilets are clean and nicely done. The shower was a very welcome addition as I had been two days wild camping prior to this. Shower was clean and hot. The pitches are a VERY good size. Much larger than anything we have seen. The views from the pitch are beautiful. We spent the afternoon watching the farmer collect his grass from two fields opposite in the distance. Was so relaxing. I literally can’t wait to go back to the Marsh. Hopefully for longer this time.

Em va agradar: Perfectly placed site with good access to the area. Small, quiet site with great little on site shop selling local produce. Huw, the owner, is very approachable and knowledgeable about the local area. Toilet and shower clean and well maintained.

What a spot for family holidays. You can keep the kids going all day with animal encounters at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (20 minutes’ drive), or challenge them to mini-golf games and paintball fights at Heatherton World of Activities (half an hour). With adrenaline-busting rollercoaster and thrill rides, Oakwood Theme Park (half an hour) is another action-packed day trip for active families. Rather be out in the water? There’s a wave pool and high-impact flume rides at Blue Lagoon Water Park (25 minutes), or you can book family wakeboarding lessons at Wild Lakes Wales (half an hour). On sunny days, jump in the car and head for the beaches in Saundersfoot (half an hour) for some downtime messing about in the waves. To slow things down a bit, the National Botanic Garden of Wales (20 minutes) is a good place for lots of strolls in peaceful landscapes and rare plants in a Norman Foster-designed glasshouse, or you can up the cultural element of your Wales break with a guided tour of Pembroke Castle (35 minutes).

Admissió

Els menors que no estiguin acompanyats per un adult hauran de presentar una carta d'autorització dels pares o tutors legals.
Només podreu entrar al càmping després de registrar-vos a recepció.
Qualsevol persona que passi la nit al càmping haurà de presentar el document d'identitat a recepció i completar els tràmits necessaris.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
Les parcel·les o els allotjaments s'assignaran en arribar al càmping.
No s'ofereixen reembossaments/descomptes per les inclemències metereològiques, les arribades tardanes ni les sortides anticipades.

Extres

Es poden portar motos en lloc dels cotxes inclosos en el preu.

General

La direcció es reserva el dret de refusar l'accés o posar fi a l'estada d'aquells hostes que presentin un comportament inapropiat. En tal cas, no s'oferirà cap reembossament.
Les ràdios, els reproductors de música i els televisors s'han de mantenir a baix volum. Les portes i els maleters dels vehicles s'han de tancar amb cura.
S'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 22:00 i les 9:00.
