There's an absolute cracker of a Cardigan Bay beach near Llandysul in Ceredigion: the cove and golden sands of Llangrannog, backed by lush green cliffs and claimed as one of Ceredigion's finest sandy spots (view fans also reckon it to have among the best vistas in all of west Wales). From here, sand fans can kitesurf, board surf, tackle the circular walk around the headland of Ynys Lochtyn, or – possibly the top choice – tackle pub grub from the inn overlooking the beach or homemade ice cream from the beach café below. If you'd like to be there right now please (sensible), a stay three miles away from Llangrannog at family-run Greenfields Holiday Park might be just the ticket. Greenfields is a family park with lots to tickle your fancy laid on for when you're not on the Ceredigion coast: a heated indoor pool, a coarse fishing lake in a peaceful corner of the park for a small extra charge, and loads of room for the kids to run about in the surrounding four-acre playing field with toddlers' play area, tennis courts, basketball and football pitch. Vittles are sorted at the Greenfields clubhouse, which has a restaurant, takeaway and bar as well as regular live entertainment in the summer season; the park also has an amusement arcade, launderette, dog walking area and well-maintained loos and showers. And it's probably worth pointing out again that the site is a mere three miles from the spectacular Llangrannog sands…?

Em va agradar We've just had a 5 day break here, what a fantastic park, everyone was so friendly, site was clean, facilities were spotless day and night. We loved every minute. Will definitely be returning.

Em va agradar Central location, upon entry everything looked lovely, grounds the static parks were well looked after and clean

No em va agradar The touring pitches were horrendous, hard standing was rough and large stones was used, cheap material weeds every where on our pitch not maintained, we were in a corner with seasonal pitches all around us with a fence at the rear by main road, the noise from traffic was constant dogs barking either side, mains water tap was hanging needed new screws, the showers are awful they stay on for 3 second bursts you have to keep pressing the tap to get water,restaurant and take away did not open until 7pm which was late, some people like to eat earlier its a dog friendly park but no dogs are allowed in the club house also to many kids with electric scooters and bikes no consideration by the owners for other park users we are really disappointed with our stay compared to 5 other sites we have visited so far this year We paid to have a holiday touring pitches should be away from seasonal pitches

Em va agradar Well kept grounds around the pitches. Clean toilets, lovely park, very convenient bus service from just outside the park. Not overpriced. It has a stunning lake.

No em va agradar Showers had no pressure at all and was just a trickle of boiling hot water.
The pitches are lots of large pointy stones which is very uncomfortable and uneven to walk on in an awning even with a carpet inside.

Em va agradar Overall camp site was nice. Could have done with more toilet facilities. Ground is quite uneven for vans and awnings

No em va agradar Pool was disgusting. Water was very dirty to the point a few of us have come out in rashes and infections

Em va agradar We enjoyed our stay . Decided to try here as we wanted to visit llangrannog. We’ve stayed at Aberaeron and new wuay many times but this suited us for a change . Quieter and need a car to go anywhere .

No em va agradar I won’t take anything away from
This site as it’s a bit cheaper and has good facilities . What we prefer is more space from a pitch between vans . And unfortunately we did eat out (takeaway option - burger chips and pizza) and all disliked the cheap burgers , we all wasted half of them . Don’t see why they don’t service half decent food , if it’s the r price add another pound per burger for something better . The park/football pitches are clean , very big and well maintained but this could be a mega space for kids if they just updated / modernised the kids facilities . I’d say this is a very good site for more than 1 family staying so you have friends on site and a car to get about. We would go back for a weekend if we wanted to go to the area again but new quay and Aberaeron offer

Greenfields Holiday Park has handy access to lots of local beaches as well as Llangrannog, like those of New Quay, Penbryn, Aberporth, Aberearon and Tresaith, while the amenities, attractions and first-class vistas of Cardigan Bay and Aberystwyth are within easy driving distance. But first. After pub grub, pints, ice cream, surfing and/or sunbathing at Llangrannog, lace up the walking boots and prepare for some scenic shots on the camera while trekking around this part of the Cardigan Bay, Ceredigion and west Wales coast: Llangrannog links to the 65-mile Ceredigion Coast Path along the length of Cardigan Bay, which in turn links to the mammoth 870-mile Wales Coast Path for those who'd like to travel weary-footed further. Even closer to home, Greenfields is less than two miles from a nine-hole golf course – excellent views come as standard, but of course… A dry ski slope is at the Urdd Centre, a long-established activity centre which also has go-karting, tobogganing, archery, quad bikes, horse riding, climbing, low ropes and an adventure course among other activities.
