No em va agradar: Clubhouse / bar restaurant will not serve you breakfast unless you’re a hotel guest! Although the sign outside says “open to non residents” but campers on site are not included. Disappointing.

Em va agradar: Location was stunning & the toilets/showers were well maintained.

No em va agradar: Midges!! And the noise from the pub at kick out time.

Em va agradar: Just off the main A road. We had a stone pitch with EHU and water, bonus was a view of Loch Lomond. Clean showers and toilets. A pub on site but we did not use it. I even had a swim in the Loch.

Food in the hotel on site served nice food and had friendly staff.

No em va agradar: Unfortunately the site was poorly ran. The pitches were unclean with rubbish from previous campers still left behind. Not sure what was going on with the fresh water but it looked like it was being pumped straight from the loch!!

There were only 2 showers and 2 toilets each in the ladies and gents for the whole site which were closed for 'cleaning' at 9.30am which was inconvenient but there was no cleaner visible and the shower cubicles were not clean. Scum was still visible and dirty water wasn't running away making showering uncomfortable.
There was not toilet roll one morning in either toilet but I thought the 'cleaner' would replace them. On returning after a day out there was still none. I did ask the young male at reception if they could be replaced and they were.

We read reviews on arrival about the over flowing dog mess bin which was near our pitch. On leaving it was still full. We did leave though after 2 nights instead of the 5 planned. Couldn't face the showers n drinking water another day.

The staff on arrival was one male who gave us no instructions on the site and pointed us in the direction to where we were staying but said we could pick our own pitch. Not sure where we would've ended up if the only pitch left was taken!!

No em va agradar: Rudeness of the site Manager, he said we had arrived early and should be 1.30pm, very blunt, i stated i was informed on my email it was 1pm, I apologised and offered to come back later, he couldn't even look at me just plain rude, then began complaining of no staff and managing the load of 3 people. However he did apologise, which i accepted however from that greeting ,he had already made me feel uncomfortable . We were booked for 3 nights, but decided to stay one night and head elsewhere.
Whatever happened to customer service, I had paid for a site that should greet paying customers with respect.

The toilet block was lovely and warm.

No em va agradar: Well where do I start
1) The owners had absolutely no customer service skills.
2) The owners or workers had 2 dogs that went between the house in the marina and a waterfront caravan and one of the dogs attacked my young Welsh Terrier. Good job I saw it coming and picked my wee pup up I was terrified.
3) There was nowhere to walk the dog unless it was round the static caravans or on the busy main road.
4) Unbelievable that the only toilet block was closed for cleaning before 10am.
5) No recycling on site whatsoever and rubbish went in bins with no lids at the front of the site.
6) The site looked like it had been taken over by a family that were just looking to make a quick profit and taking advantage of the fabulous views disregarding customers.
7) No shop or supplies on site.
It was just an awful site I would definitely not recommend it unless you are a self contained unit stopping for 2 days max and midweek I can imagine the weekends would be awful with noise and jet skis.

No em va agradar: EVERYTHING - The only thing this camp has going for it is the view. But there are plenty of other campsites in the area which pretty much have the same view. I'm sure if the 'season' owners were able to change the view to stop the tourers staying they would.

The shower areas were totally flooded the entire time with muddy water because the facilities were not cleaned at all. The showers only had one tiny hook to put your clothes and no shelf. The pitches were no more than a car park covered in cigarette ends, litter and dog poo!!!! The 'season' pitch owners do not want the tourers there and make it perfectly obvious to you. We tried to have a bbq but their dogs seemed to think that it was ok to come around sniffing with no recall from the owners. They were intimidating and rude. The loud music and heavy drinking from their area started early and there was no point in asking them to tone it down as apparently 'they live there and the rules don't apply to them'!!!!

I had read similar reviews but though 'surely it can't be that bad' but it was worse!!!

We left at 10pm (didn't even stay one night) because of the unwelcome and intimidation that we felt.

No em va agradar: Booked with Pitch.com and booking didn’t show on the system at site. Man scolded us saying Pitch are rubbish and said come direct next time. (Don’t have your site on pitch if it’s no good). The guy seemed very disorganised as another tourer was cleared off their pitch whilst someone else waited to move in!!
Site was untidy, toilets never cleaned, only two loos and no loo paper in one for our stay. Never seemed to be a member of staff around if you needed them. No shops nearby at all. Pitches packed in close together. There is a train station close by and a pub on site. (Food expensive but mediocre!)
It’s a shame, it’s a great spot and my advise is tidy it up, have someone on site to keep areas tidy and clean(toilets), have a little honesty shop with essentials.
On the plus, there is a watersport hire centre on site.
