Em va agradar: Met the owner on arrival, and he was really friendly and personable.
Site was based on a large field and as the website promised, it was very quiet with beautiful views.
Facilities were clean and modern and there was room in the showers to hang your clothes and keep them dry. (This isn’t always the case in some campsites.)
The walks were incredible. Lots of ups and downs, through rolling fields.
Had a drink at the Lamb pub a couple of times in the very pretty and quite idillic village.
Loved it and we’ll be back!
No em va agradar: Struggling to think of anything other then it was a bit blowy, which is the trade off for being on the top of a hill, with beautiful panoramic views.

Em va agradar: Very spacious pitches. Spaced around the edges of a large field, which made it feel uncramped. 6 year old grandson loved playing in the centre space. Grass looked after meticulously. Showers and toilets were event type portacabins and very modern and clean. Chemical waste point well kept. We had ehu. Fabulous views and very peaceful. Owner friendly and helpful. No playground or cafes or entertainment but this was exactly what we wanted. It rained heavily one day but pitches were well drained and not sodden or muddy. Some people had fire pits. One inconsiderate camper left the fire going after they left which could have been dangerous in dryer weather.

Em va agradar: Non EHU, so welcome to pitch wherever we liked in a large well-tended field. Helen also allowed us to arrive early - very friendly and welcoming!
The views were exceptional in all directions, there were a number of fresh water taps dotted around the field, and smart-looking portacabin facilities (toilets and showers). Chemical waste dump in the corner of the field.
Easy walk into the village, with pubs.

Em va agradar: Lovely quiet pitches, loads of space. Excellent location for exploring the area. Showers really warm and clean toilet block. Dog came too and he also loved it. Glad we had the torch as was dark at night, how ever made excellent sky for star gazing!

Em va agradar: As long as you know what you’re signing up to , a field with the option of electric or not, on an unmanned site, you can’t go wrong. This was a well maintained field, very peaceful, with no noise from the roads. although I was a bit hesitant about the portaloo cabin situation the toilets were spotlessly clean and really quite modern.
We didn’t use the showers so can’t comment there.
Rob was on hand on text or call and was lovely to deal with.
Wed definitely stay here again if we wanted to explore the area more or a stop over before moving on.

Em va agradar: Simplicity, showers and toilets were immaculate, plenty of space, level pitches, electric hookup worked as it should.
Friendly village with 2 pubs and a shop a comfortable 15 minute walk.
Pretty much Self-Serve but friendly staff just at the end of a phone.
Very peaceful.

Em va agradar: The site was lovely, the toilets and showers were very clean and there was plentyb9f space on our pitch.
We had an issue with our pitch on arrival and the owners resolved the issue quickly.
The sore has some gorgeous views of the rolling countryside and it was so quiet despite there being lots of pitches is use around us.
My boys loved riding their bikes and playing rounders.
We were super close to the A303 and a lovely village 30 mins walk from the campsite. We drove 20 mins to Stonehenge and 20 mins to Longleat Safari park.
There's no WiFi, but we had really good phone signal (I'm on O2, husband on Vodafone and ID mobile).
Lots of drinking water points too.

Em va agradar: Perfect for a relaxing weekend! Toilets were spotless & always available. A peaceful & well kept site, with large flat pitches. The owner was on hand to help when needed. Everything we look for in camp site. 10/10
