You’ll be able to squeeze the maximum amount of sea air out of your Dorset coastal break when you stay at East Fleet Farm Touring Park – this spectacular location is on the shores of the Fleet Lagoon, with views over Chesil Beach to the open sea beyond. Having sea views from the site means that you may be tempted to hang around on your pitch, put your feet up and simply take in the scenery for much of your break. And that’s not a bad idea at all – pitches are generously sized, with access to a play area and playing field for kids that may need a bit more activity. The well-stocked shop has various camping/caravan accessories and consumables, and it’s also the place to pick up a newspaper and an ice cream to take back to your camping chair. For more substantial eats, head to the on-site bar, which has an extensive food menu as well as a range of local drinks. It really is worth making the effort to get out and about locally though: there are some stunning walks on the South West Coast Path (which passes next to the site) and plenty of places to go for a bike ride. Weymouth and Dorchester are easily accessed too, as are the watersports of Portland and attractions such as Abbotsbury Swannery.

Em va agradar Shower facilities, tent pitches were generous. Good dog facilities. Friendly staff. Good rules made you aware that East Fleet Farm were serious of ensuring people were well cared. Good park security with gated entrance and exit. Well stocked shop. Fantastic kept park and recycling bins. Drinking water tabs and waste water facilities.

No em va agradar Pub meal needs improving had the sombrero chicken burger. Chicken was dry and tasteless with no cheese as mentioned in the menu, very disappointing to then have nachos added to enhance further the dryness of the burger. The bun had the smallest amount of salad and no cheese, you need to eat your own menu to know what needs to change.
My wife had the spinach and broccoli bowl, terrible value looked awful looked like a whole bag of spinach dumped in a bowl that was gritty, included only 3 tops of broccoli and a few sweet corn kernels. Where’s the enjoyment?!
You would benefit if you offered a mobile charging service rather than the current set up.
The shop would benefit from opening earlier in the morning during the week than 9.am as most campers to be fair are up at the crack of dawn and not everyone brings cooking equipment if they are staying only a few nights.

Em va agradar Very quiet pitch, well kept site. Plenty of places for walking with a good dog walking area. Shop had plenty of products and food available, but did not use as we had our own. Staff on arrival were very pleasant and helpful.

No em va agradar A few more dog bins around the site would be helpful, especially on points of return from coastal path.

Em va agradar Staff welcoming on arrival and process was easy. Good sized pitch. Facilities in the newer block were superb.
15 minute walk to the bus stop and nearest shop

Although the ‘beach’ is very close it is not accessible or usable as it is the lagoon and a nature reserve.

Llocs d'interès

Can’t keep your eyes off the sea views? Pick up the South West Coast Path at the bottom end of the park, or head for favourite spots along the Jurassic Coast like West Bay (half an hour’s drive) and Lulworth Cove (35 minutes). The Isle of Portland (15 minutes) is also a great place for a walk, and it’s also got lots of watersports including windsurfing, coasteering and scuba diving. Weymouth (10 minutes) is another perennial favourite for its lovely sandy beach and attractions like the Sea Life Centre and Pirate Adventure Golf. You can also get to the town on two wheels by picking up the Weymouth Trail cycle route from the bridleway by the site (or follow the full nine-mile trail up into the hills…) Other options for days out nearby include Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens (15 minutes), Vurlands Animal Farm (20 minutes) or an arty afternoon at Sculpture By The Lakes (half an hour).
