‘See, that’s how good little ducklings do it,’ you can say hopefully to the kids as they watch the baby birds obediently waddle after mum around the park: Sandyholme Holiday Park’s (fenced) wildlife pond with its flocks of geese and ducks is a big favourite with ducklings of all ages. As is the peaceful location and the chilled atmosphere, as you let any thoughts of work roll away from you like water off a duck’s back… The park is tucked in a secluded location on the edge of the villages of Owermoigne and Moreton, surrounded by trees and with the Tadnoll Brook river flowing past the park. The amenities are equally excellent here, too: clean showers and toilets, a play area, a picnic area and a playing field are all on site, as is a reception area with a small shop. While you're up at reception, have a chat with the friendly, knowledgeable staff for info on walks and things to do nearby for the whole family – this is a handy location for visiting the Isle of Purbeck and Jurassic Coast, so they may well point you towards the likes of Corfe Castle, Durdle Door and the beaches at Ringstead Bay or Weymouth. Country pubs, farm shops and nature reserves are all nearby too, so feel free to take tips on those too. Guests at Sandyholme can also use the facilities at fellow West Dorset Leisure Holidays site Highlands End Holiday Park 18 miles west for a small charge: take your pick from an indoor pool, sauna/steam room or pitch and putt, before getting your beaks twitching at the meals in the family bar.

Easy to get in and out

Main building and playground and football field are at the front rather than in the centre so it doesn't bring everyone together

Em va agradar It was very nice I loved it a lot and the facilities like the showers and toilets were always 100% clean and there were freezers and washing machines and they always had hot water to shower with the staff was always cleaning it making sure it was at 100% and the camping site was very clean as well and there was drinking water always near by and it was very spacious in the main facilities there was also puzzles and CDs to borrow and the staff were super kind

No em va agradar The only problem was that there was no signal unless you paid for it we had to leave the area until our phones worked sometimes there was a tiny bit of signal that you could use then it would disappear after a few minutes and the reception is barely open

Em va agradar Sehr schöner Campingplatz, viel Platz an den Stellplätzen, Wasseranschlüsse in der Nähe. Stromversorgung am Platz.
Die Sanitäranlagen (Toiletten, Duschen) und die Räume für Waschmaschine und Trockner sowie die Geräte selbst waren sehr sauber und werden regelmäßig gründlich gereinigt. Das war richtig toll!
Das Personal sehr nett, war sehr um die Zufriedenheit der Gäste bemüht und fragte später am Ankunftstag nach, ob alles in Ordnung ist.

No em va agradar Von den Zeltplätzen sind die Toiletten relativ weit weg. Für einen kurzen Gang nachts unkomfortabel.
Eine weitere Toilette bei den Zeltplätzen wäre ganz schön gewesen.
