Sunridge Treehouse

Sunridge Treehouse is a top-notch luxury treehouse in Devon’s South Hams area, surrounded by private woodland and with its own private lake (where you can fish for carp or simply gaze out over the water if you’re more of a daydreaming type). It’s a mighty peaceful setup here, with your living area opening out onto spacious decks with outdoor furniture for alfresco dining, lounging and getting to know your neighbours (they being the birds, badgers, squirrels and other wildlife that scurry about among the trees). You’re not stranded far from civilisation though – country pubs and cream teas are five minutes’ drive away in Yealmpton and the city attractions of Plymouth can be reached in 20. You’d be forgiven for stubbornly refusing to leave your gorgeous pad at all, however. This is a place that’s been stuffed full of mod cons and cosy features, including a swish modern German kitchen, a gas barbecue, a woodburning stove, a bathroom with fancy mood lighting, and a cinema/games room kitted out with an eye-opening five-metre screen, sound system, games consoles and comfy sofas. On top of all that, it’s just a short trot from the treehouse to the private outdoor hot tub, where you can bubble away among 19 fab water jets and more mood lighting, with gorgeous woodland views (add in a glass of something bubbly and it’s sure to soothe even the most stressed of souls).
