No em va agradar Pitches not level and because we hired a motorhome we don’t have blocks! Shop not open at 9.15 so couldn’t purchase anything before we left! Very basic electric cable didn’t reach so had to move to a different pitch! Cobwebs all in windows in toilet block. No WiFi unless you paid

Em va agradar I liked the whole campsite, the layout of the pitches and the feeling of space everywhere. It was immaculately tidy and clean, as were the very good showers. We only stayed one night so didn’t use all of the facilities. We had stayed in one of the cottages many years ago and enjoyed that very much. It had changed greatly over the years but was still an excellent place to stay which I would recommend to anyone.

No em va agradar Day 1 me and my partner and our little dog arrived and checked in at reception the receptionist was lovely she told us where to go to our pitch with a map then when we got to our pitch the we got the tent out and then we saw that the electric hook up was to far away so we went back to reception to tell them cam we go somewhere closer to a electric hook up as our wire didn't reach and then we went to plot 154 and it was still far away so we had to go buy a new electric lead for £25 every time we went camping we have never had this problem

Day 2 we woke up and I went to go and use the toilet and it was closed due to cleaning I asked could I use the toilet and they said use another toilet block I didn't even know where it was I had just woke up and didn't want to walk around looking for a toilet block. We pay to use the facilities we should use and not try and find another block.

I know they have to be cleaned but never been to a place where they close the whole block at once they usually close a bit at a time

Wouldn't mind if they gave us notice telling us they are closing the block they could have said when we checked in.

On the night we fancied a chippy and it was closed this was about 6pm on Tuesday only open Friday Saturday and Sunday.

Day 3 we went on the woodland walk what was lovely walk we had a nice walk through the woods

Day 4 we had to pack up and go home due to the strong winds we would have stayed till 11th but our tent broke in the strong winds and tried to call reception about 6 times to tell them we had to leave early when it opened as we left at 630am and no answer.

All in all we didn't have a good time at all we will not be coming here again.

Em va agradar Plenty of places to eat, did’t stay long enough due to weather to investigate facilities, swimming pool very busy

No em va agradar Reception not helpful when we couldn’t find our pitch, field not marked up as it should be so confusing, very big site, could’t get onto wifi

A rainy weekend I arrived to find the desk closed so I couldn’t get a token for the tumble dryer until 8am the next day asked the park warden who told me to come back the next day. At 8.30am no tokens available as the park warden hasn’t collected them from the tumble dryers ( surely in a wet weekend and after being asked directly the night before this should have been a priority)
Club house smelt damp and cold
The bar didn’t have enough glasses for 15 people and the bar was understaffed upon arrival

Lack of swimming availability

Lack of tokens for tumble - reception and park warden exceptionally unhelpful regarding this

Not enough glasses in the bar areas, lager supply low & flat

No snacks - crisp etc available in bar areas could only purchase from shop

General social areas - entertainment for kids, bars etc need deep clean as very dirty

Paid for wifi - still didn’t work and no refund offered - weather was blamed for poor service

Wouldn’t recommend or visit again without major refurbishment

Em va agradar Clean and well maintained toilets and shower blocks. The site is clean and well maintained. There are plenty of facilities on site and you can park next to your pitch,

No em va agradar The free wifi is incredibly poor and it drops you off very frequently (every 5 mins or less) and that is if you can get online at all - and then invites you to pay £8.75 for 24 hrs of admittedly far better wifi. In the times in which we live, charging every pitch over £8 a day to access the internet feels wrong to me. £2 would feel better - still £60 a month per pitch isn't it. There is patchy mobile signal. We resorted to moving the car halfway between the wifi transmitter and the tent and then leaving a mobile with a power bank attached so we could wifi off it as the signal was ropey to say the least. The onsite shop is overpriced and stuffed with low quality goods, Tesco is just up the road so this helps. The out of hours line is not answered out of hours.

Em va agradar Grounds were well kept. On arriving we asked for our family to be pitched together which was sorted for us.

No em va agradar The bar areas were understaffed and tables not cleaned. There was a lack of glasses for drinks (usually pint glasses). The ladies toilets/shower blocks were not checked regularly and soap dispensers as were empty over the whole weekend. We needed to use the tumble driers (due to bad weather) only to find that there were no tokens available (or had been collected from the machines by the following morning) seemed like the attitude of some staff at their busiest week and at a time of bad weather was ‘it’s not our problem’
