Get set for plenty of action: Hidden Field Clothier is in a splendidly convenient spot for a north Cornwall break, with easy access from both the A30 and the A390 making days out a cinch. As well as being easy on the eye, this part of Cornwall is particularly popular for its outdoor activities. There are beaches 15 minutes’ drive away from the farm for watersports and Newquay is 35 minutes’ drive away if you fancy hiring a boat or getting some surf lessons. For a non-beach day, there’s a quad biking centre in the village 35 minutes’ walk away or an off-road mountain biking trail park 10 minutes’ drive away. Topping all that off, you can track down museums, gardens and historic houses within a few miles of the site. Just remember, pre-booking activities during the high season is always worthwhile… Pootle over to Truro (15 minutes’ drive) for big-brands shopping or to Falmouth (half an hour) for the cool and funky sort of shops. There are supermarkets within 15 minutes’ drive of the farm for you to gather the ingredients for an alfresco evening – barbecues and campfires are welcome here. Handily, there's a play area where the kids can scamper about safely while you get the blaze going.

Em va agradar Everything!!
We had a wonderful 4 night stay in this beautiful shepherd’s hut. The decor was gorgeous, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed is comfortable.
The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, and the peaceful countryside setting made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We’d happily stay again!
My daughter absolutely loved the games room and everything provided. We had a lovely time using the facilities.

Em va agradar We travelled as a family of 5 for the second year here. We absolutely love it, it's simple but you have everything you need, it's quiet and clean and well maintained. This year we had a kitchen with out pitch, it made a huge difference.
Andy the owner is absolutely lovely and will accommodate anything you need.
There are lots of things to borrow also in the club house. Location is ideal, central and easy to get to all places.

Em va agradar Booked very last minute. An honestly couldn’t have had a better stay.
Great location for us, so central.
Loved having numbered toilets an showers so each pitched had there own. Pitches was a great size.
Great playroom with toys and colouring.
Kids didn’t want to go home, won’t look at another site now, will just book here.
Owner was so helpful, and on hand. Great site!

Em va agradar Very peaceful and pleasant stay. The shower/toilet block was really clean and easily facilitated the whole site. The owner was helpful and clearly cared about his site and the enjoyment of guests. Not any fault of the owner, but if you’re trying to find the site by SatNav, search by ‘Hidden Field Glamping’, otherwise you’re in for an extremely bumpy ride up a farmer’s track! We found out the hard way in our LWB van and have the dent to prove it!

Em va agradar The shepherd’s hut felt like a little slice of luxury within the countryside and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The bed was more spacious than it looked and the shower was excellent. I had a little trouble with the door when I arrived but help arrived very quickly! We made good use of the fire pit and of the air fryer when it rained! Will definitely be booking again!

No em va agradar The steps up to the hut got quite slippery in the rain - just something to be aware of!

Where might you spend a beach day? One obvious spot is Porthtowan (15 minutes’ drive), a large, windswept sandy bay where surfers flock when the conditions are right – and it’s handy that there’s a surf shop and a café there. If you prefer a beach with a little trek, Chapel Porth Beach (15 minutes) is just down a valley with sand that only emerges at low tide. Perranporth Beach (20 minutes) is perhaps the most popular of the lot, with a pub on the beach and fab surf most of the year. There’s a good helping of beaches in Newquay (35 minutes) further up the coast, and this is also a good place to get your hands on a jet ski for the day or take a wildlife watching safari onto the wide blue yonder. If you haven’t done quite enough sailing for your liking, don’t worry. Falmouth (half an hour) has plenty of chances for boarding a sailboat, not to mention that it has the impressive 16th-century Pendennis Castle atop of the river Fal with a cannon collection.
