You’ll have a tough time choosing between Cornish ice cream and fish and chips when you touch down at Padstow View Campsite in Cornwall. Pitch up at a peaceful farm site with estuary views… and use it as your gateway to sandy beaches, harbour towns and the Cornish countryside. Within a short bus journey or five-minute drive of Padstow (and also within walking distance), this friendly site welcomes families and dogs (with an exclusive-use dog-walking field for the latter). It's also only a 20-minute drive from Newquay. The showers on site will help rinse away any sand picked up visiting the seven bays within 10 minutes’ drive (including Trevone Bay, Constantine Bay, Porthcothan Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivy’s Bay and Harlyn Bay); there are toilets and a washing-up area on site for guests' use as well. Phone charging lockers are available for powering your gadgets (with wifi available and a decent 4G signal too), and there are plugs on hand for small appliances like hairdryers. When not at the beach, while away your day hiking or cycling around the country trails and coastal paths. Walk directly to Padstow or catch a regular bus from the site. In Padstow, boats are on hand for angling or beach hopping and Rick Stein’s famous seafood recipes can be sampled at several restaurants. Good day out at sea? Bring your catch back to the site, where barbecues are allowed. There's a shop on site with essentials and delicious food is served every night on site. On the morning menu are fresh coffee, cakes and fresh locally sourced bacon rolls. Handily, there are also several pubs and restaurants (including a dog-friendly pick) within a five-minute drive and a farm shop a couple of minutes' drive away.

Tenda piramidal Harlyn

Em va agradar Amazing location looking out across Padstow. Excellent facilities, showers. loos, onsite food with excellent menu and fair prices, lovely friendly site including staff. I was visiting my children and granddaughter who live in Cornwall and was allowed visitors. We only stayed one night in a lovely bell tent which my granddaughter loved. Will definitely be back next year for a longer stay.

Em va agradar Friendly staff. Wifi worked for me.

No em va agradar Very exposed location so can be very windy. One toilet didn't flush properly and there are only two of them which meant queues when the site got busy at weekends. Lack of hooks or shelves for towels and clothes in the showers which were pretty cramped especially if trying to shower young children, the cubicles were also often full of water. The dough in the pizza I had from the site pizza van wasn't cooked.

Thank you for your review. You were staying during the busiest bank holiday weekend of the summer. There was a storm when you were onsite. We have 2 shower blocks the family ones are huge with a dressing area sink and clothes hooks.
There are many toilets and urinals. We check them several times a day to make sure they are clean and all
well stocked.
As you can see from other reviews everybody seems so happy. There are a lot of positive things like a stunning view, food and drink onsite. we are family and dog friendly with a private dog exercising field, you can walk to Padstow directly from the site on the footpath or take a bus every hour into Padstow and beyond from outside the site. Stay in a bell tent with beds and furnishings.
Everybody seemed to really enjoy there stay especially waking up to fresh coffee and breakfast being served everyday together with a lovely evening menu.
Also free WiFi.

Tenda piramidal Trevone

Em va agradar We cannot rate this campsite highly enough! Judith is the nicest lady, nothing is too much trouble and the facilities are always lovely and clean. She has thought of every detail, from phone charging facilities, on site fancy coffees and breakfast to pizzas on site in the evening too. It’s the highlight of our summer visiting, and a fab location too.

Em va agradar Stayed at Padstow View Campsite again and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The campsite is beautifully situated with stunning views over the surrounding countryside and down towards the coast. The location is ideal, just a short drive from the charming town of Padstow, which offers plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities.

The facilities at the campsite were excellent. The shower and toilet blocks were spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of hot water and spacious, clean cubicles. There were also convenient washing-up areas and a small shop on-site for any essentials you might need. A little Pizza place on-site also offers food for the evening.

Very welcoming arrival as always! Friendly staff always willing to help and go the extra mile.

This is the 3rd year staying here and I’ll be back next year!

Don’t forget to pack your walking gear… the 18-mile Camel Trail begins in Padstow or Wadebridge (both within 10 minutes’ drive) and there are trails all over the local heritage coast (several within 15 minutes) or a different type of adventure underground at Carnglaze Caverns (40 minutes). The sea is your playground here, too. Boats wait at Padstow Harbour (five minutes) to whisk you out to sea for angling or wildlife spotting… keep your eyes peeled for seals, dolphins, puffins and basking sharks. A ferry can also take you across the river to Rock (otherwise 25 minutes’ drive) for a laidback afternoon. Kids are likely to enjoy the steam railway ride at Lappa Valley (25 minutes) or the animals and rides at Camel Creek Adventure Park (five minutes). As for adults, they can unwind with a meal or wine tasting at Trevibban Mill Vineyard or take a gin tour at Tarquins distillery (both five minutes away). Upgrade from a bodyboard to a surfboard at one of several surfing spots in the area. For newbies, there’s a surf school at Harlyn Bay (10 minutes) or more daring swells at Newquay (20 minutes) and Fistral Beach (30 minutes).
