Spectacular sunsets, smashing views, spying seals and all a mere mile and a half from Boscastle… things sound tremendous at north Cornwall's Trebyla Farm. It's on the north Cornish coast (also tremendous) and within easy walking distance of the wildlife watching and hikes of the splendid South West Coast Path. Plenty of other walks surround this peaceful place, including a mile-long meander to the several pubs, restaurants and shops of Boscastle, as well as a scenic hike along to the beach at Crackington Haven. If you want to travel by wheels, a bus stop is just outside the farm entrance. The site covers two acres on a working farm, and it's worth pointing out yet again those smashing views. On a more practical level, guests have access to a spacious wetroom on site and there's a washing-up area and facilities for ice pack freezing. For supplies, stroll 10 or 15 minutes from Trebyla to a farm shop selling fresh local produce as well as dishing up sizeable cooked breakfasts: there are over 4,000 products here, so even fussy types should see themselves sorted. Source some fuel on your travels too, to spark up a barbecue or campfire once you stagger back to base with your haul.

Em va agradar Lovely site and owner. Showers and toilets excellent, superb views, really good value. The feel of a small, intimate independent site but had all the facilities of bigger sites. Nothing to complain about at all. Highly recommended.

Em va agradar We couldn’t fault the campsite and extended our stay from 2 nights to 4. It’s lovely and quiet and great for star gazing on a clear night. We did 2 coastal walks directly from the campsite. The facilities are modern and clean. There’s a view from the washing up sinks. There are fire pits to hire and logs. It was nice to not have a huge list of do’s and don’ts and to just use good old common sense and respect for other campers and nature. We’d definitely recommend it and would use again

Em va agradar As a nervous driver who had just collected a new campervan, I couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. Martin was fantastic—helping me choose a pitch, set up my electric hookup, and providing bus timetables for my linear walks along with directions to the south coastal path.

The campsite location is ideal for walking to Boscastle, Tintagel, and Crackington Haven (with great bus links to Bude). On top of that, the showers were amazing—properly hot and without those frustrating short-timer push buttons you get on Caravan Club sites. Highly recommended!

One of the most famed things about Boscastle is its Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, open in Boscastle since 1960 and a popular stopoff point for tourists as well as those interested in witchcraft and the occult. The village should keep you going for a bit after a dip into the witchcraft museum, even if you just sit and stare at its scenic harbour from one of its two stone walls… If you fancy delving into a bit more history, the National Trust has a visitor centre in Boscastle's Old Smithy (and if not, there are a few interesting little shops around). The South West Coast Path is accessed from here – the walk to Arthurian Tintagel is much recommended – and those who want to stay active can source horse riding, fishing and golfing in the area too. This is of course surfing country as well, or you could stick to exploring the rockpools among the many sandy beaches around this part of coast.
