Wake up in the morning and sip your coffee surrounded by peaceful countryside, and spend your evenings under the stars. Sounds too good to be true? It’s not at Pheasants Den Glamping, a Kent bolthole tucked away in the rural hamlet of Woolage Green, midway between Canterbury and the Port of Dover. It makes a luxury overnighter if you’re heading to/from the ferry, but really lends itself to longer breaks so you can soak up the relaxing ambience of the place. You’ll stay in stylishly furnished bell tents sitting among mature willow trees in a grass meadow. Each is designed with comfort in mind: there are ‘proper’ plush beds dressed with soft linens (an extra charge), and thoughtfully curated interiors with lighting, mirrors, seating and wardrobe space, which bring a touch of elegance to the great outdoors. Facilities include top-notch separate male and female shower blocks a short paved walk from the tents, and a well-laid-out kitchen with a food-prep area, storage, metal sinks and tables and chairs. There’s a firepit for barbecues and a fireplace for cosying up around on chillier evenings too. Close by, you have easy access to hiking scenic routes, cycling trails through lush Kent landscapes, wildlife parks and historic places like Canterbury (15 minutes’ drive) with sightseeing attractions, pubs and restaurants.

Em va agradar I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful glamping site. Jon gave me a very warm welcome and immediately made me feel at ease.

The campsite had only been open for two weeks, so I was the only guest at the time. I didn't mind that at all—it made the experience even more peaceful. After a long bike ride in the heat, Jon kindly offered me a delicious local cider, which was exactly what I needed.

I had everything I could ask for: spotless and modern sanitary facilities, a spacious green setting, and a lovely tent with an original theme. I also asked for a fire pit, and everything I needed was already prepared. It was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully taken care of.

A lovely place to relax, with a very welcoming host. I will definitely come back!
