Aquest càmping tranquil i boscos presenta un ambient reclòs però està ben comunicat amb Newport amb cotxe o bus. Destaquen l'excel·lent comunicació amb els propietaris i la neteja, especialment la dutxa renovada. El transport públic és fàcil. Alguns usuaris van notar la manca de lavabos i dutxes, i l'accés irregular (ara millorat). Les parcel·les poden ser desiguals i la dutxa/lavabo única insuficient en hores punta. Es recomana repel·lent de mosquits.

No em va agradar This camp was not sign posted and was down a very uneven one way path.
Only one toilet and shower room that wasnt cleaned very often with no toilet paper and bin overflowing, shower was very small and no room to get changed in there.
We paid for a hardstanding pitch but we got a muddy and half grass pitch instead ,it was a good thing it wasnt raining.
Electric posts looked like they hadnt be serviced for years and we were shocked that they still worked.
Very expensive , we understand IOW festival weekend is going to be more expensive but this was 4 times the price than it normally is. No wifi or area map offered.
Very uncared for site and no host or reception to greet us.
No safe walk way into Newport but there is a busstop at top of the path.
Not much around to walk to really,
Better cheaper camps around even on festival weekends.

Em va agradar Campsite was wonderful and peaceful. Email communication was outstanding and helpful from start to finish. Campsite was clean and the toilet and shower were very clean, thank you.

No em va agradar The issue with the electric and it not being resolved, and we had to share our friends point all weekend, maybe it would be a good idea to number the electric point with the plot numbers so there is no confusion.
Also it would be worth noting that if you are attending the festival or walking into Newport town the road is very dangerous and it would be best to get the bus at the top of the lane, we managed to get a bus ticket for the whole weekend and we didn't use the festival bus and it was amazing, bus drivers were so helpful and friendly.
It would have been lovely to have met the campsite owner.
Also could do with another toilet and shower.

Em va agradar Liked the quietness and feel of being off the beaten track, yet only 10-12 minutes from the town centre of Newport by car or bus.
No em va agradar The fact there was only 1 shower and 1 toilet, the week we were there was IOW festival week and it was very busy, one more shower and toilet would have made the stay that much more comfortable.

Em va agradar Lovely peaceful campsite, new super warm shower block, bus stop right at the top of the lane handy for getting anywhere on the island without having to drive. Looked at some of the reviews before coming about the lane to access the site. But after getting there and it being better than some of the actual roads on the island! Guessing it’s be redone?! Very helpful owners, there if you need them by call or message. If you like the rural feeling with peace & quiet in the evenings, this campsites for you! Would recommend. 10/10

Yes our access road has recently been upgraded.
Overall a place to explore the Island, either by Bus, or Motorhome.

Em va agradar The small toilet and shower cabin was excellent. Plenty of water, which the user could set the temperature of unlike many push button showers. The 5 minute walk up the hill, put you in front of the great Bus Service on the island, which we used. The electric access was fine, as too the chemical waste, and water dump area. A problem on arrival(booked a hardstanding which was not available) was dealt quickly and efficiently by Beckie.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes there was an error on our booking system that allowed you to book a hard standing pitch that wasn't actually available. We feel our customer service was still very good and full refund for the pitch was issued.
We do regularly cut the grass at the campsite. Unfortunately it had been very wet and we had been unable to do so that particular week.

We do have a very good toilet and shower block. This was opened on 03/09/2025
The driveway has since been resurfaced. Wed hope this may change your mind on visiting us again.
