Look at this for a lovely Lancashire location – Hollins Farm Holiday Park is at the foot of Arnside Knott in the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, so it’s surrounded with fabulous farmland, woodland and green countryside to explore. But that’s not all, because this park (which is part of the Holgates Family Group) is also a mere five minutes’ walk from the nearest beach… All of this makes Hollins Farm a great place for a peaceful rural break, whether you stick close to base or venture a little further to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks or the Forest of Bowland National Landscape. Handily, the villages of Silverdale and Arndale are close by (about five minutes’ drive) for shops, cafés and pubs. So that’s a big thumbs up all round for the setting – but what about the park itself? Well, it’s a canny choice, because you’ll get the chilled-out vibe that comes from staying on a working farm but you’ll also have access to the excellent range of facilities at the park’s sister site about 15 minutes’ walk away. When you’re at Hollins Farm you’ll be able to meet the friendly cows, have relaxed barbecue evenings and spend time challenging each other to games of pool and table football in the games room. There’s also a playground for the kids, and lots of handy facilities including toilets, showers, a launderette and a chemical disposal point. On days when you fancy a bit more of a busy atmosphere, wander over to the sister park which has an indoor pool, a leisure complex, a gym, a restaurant/bar and bowling lanes.

Em va agradar The site is immaculately clean. Very friendly and helpful wardens. There are large pitches for the tents. This site is a little gem. There is an indoor washing up area; the use of a freezer and a great recycling scheme. Our 3 year old Grandson would have loved the play area, so we'll definitely return with him. Nice little walk over to the sister site, where we had the use of their facilities aswell.

Would absolutely recommend for family with young children.

Em va agradar Brilliantly clean facilities. Beautiful area. Staff so kind and helpful. Site nice and quiet, 10 min walk to larger sister site with pool/restaurant/play facilities for kids. Site is quiet enough to enjoy as adults wanting to enjoy the beautiful countryside, and close enough to the other site for activities for kids. Best of both worlds.

PERFECT! Our new favourite place to have a weekend break.

Em va agradar What an absolutely stunning place. We loved EVERYTHING. From the drive up and beautiful entrance, the warm welcome we received from the hosts who are a credit to the whole place. Always a wave or or chat. Toilets and showers immaculate (I loved the music playing in there...nice touch). Pitches big and sheltered with hedges. Easy to access everything. It was quiet whilst we were there so perfect. Lovely manicured hedges and lawns. Beautiful view across the bay. Its a working farm so dogs on leads at all times and I loved this as ours is a bit reactive at other dogs running near our van. We walked across the beach to Silverdale one day...prob half hour if you dont stop like we did to throw sticks on the beach. In the other direction is Arnside..probably 45 minutes walk but we went along the public paths , which was very picturesque and the dogs could run. So going there we took about 2 hours walking the line way. Lovely fish and chips in Armside too.

All in all it was perfect....even with the overnight thunderstorms....our new favourite. A bit reluctant to put a review on and keep this gem of a place secret. ..but thats just selfish! So sharing this for anyone that likes a beach, hidden footpath walks, an immaculate campsite and the friendliest hosts you could ask for. Thank you 😊

Em va agradar Everything up on arrival all areas spotless and clean well maintained. Reception was easy to find receptionist who booked us in was lovely and explained everything we needed to know. Shower and toilet block wow immaculate shining just spot on.
Pitch very big with grass to sit out on would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
Also if you like swimming free passes for your stay are given to use at the other site which is less than 5 minutes in the car.

Em va agradar Absolutely wonderful campsite, very well maintained, fantastic sanitary facilities. Free access to the pool/sauna/steaming room without the need to book and without time limit at the sister caravan site nearby. Beautiful surroundings, lots of walking trails around. Highly recommended!

Em va agradar The site is immaculate throughout. The shower block was spotlessly clean, the games room was spacious and airy.

The staff were extremely friendly as we spoke to them every day. The other facilities at Holgates (easy walking distance) were exceptional with swimming pool, resturant and bar, and ten pin bowling to mention a few. The area itself is a hidden gem particularly Arnside, which again you could easily walk to. The nearby beach was stunning, it's safe to say we were blown away by the whole experience. We would highly recommend Hollins Farm.

Nice pitch with hedge giving extra privacy.

Em va agradar Very friendly staff on arrival who guided us to our pitch and gave us all the information we needed about the sister site and using the facilities there.
The site is so peaceful perfect for a restful break away.
Beautiful walk down to the beach and the local ruins.
I'm very fussy about facilities but they were nice and clean.

Folk who like to get around on foot or bikes will have plenty to keep them busy nearby – as well as the surrounding Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape and the local coastline there are lots of great places to explore in the Lake District National Park (20 minutes), Forest of Bowland National Landscape (25 minutes) or Yorkshire Dales National Park (half an hour). Horse riding Sandy Silverdale Cove (five minutes’ walk) is a nice place for a stroll or a family picnic; for other family days out nearby try the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis (15 minutes’ drive), Lakeland Maze Farm Park (25 minutes) or a day out at the beach in Morecambe (25 minutes). For a taste of local history and culture, plan a trip to Levens Hall (15 minutes), an Elizabethan house with fabulous gardens, or learn about one of the area’s most famous residents at the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction (40 minutes).
