Grab your gear and get on down to the grounds of a Georgian country house close to the gorgeous Northumberland coast – stays at the Old Rectory are pleasantly peaceful and have interrupted views over green farmland. It’s a lovely set-up at the glamping accommodation here – you'll be staying in a six-metre bell tent in a quiet corner surrounded by trees. It's kitted out with a double bed, a woodburning stove and handy bits like a fridge and kettle, as well as lots of gorgeous furnishings. A 50-metre walk takes you to a private shower and toilet in the refurbished dovecot. Tummy grumbles? No worries. Book a hot breakfast butty for delivery to your tent (place your order the night before). For other meals, a barbecue area is available outside the tent, and there's a small fridge inside for storing basic provisions. Brews are sorted too, as tea and coffee are both provided. Guests staying here have a key to the main bed and breakfast, where there is a guest lounge and fully licensed bar. If you're happy to order ahead, a dining room is also on hand where you can have dinner with the other guests. One big perk of this place (aside from the spectacular scenery) is that it’s only about 400 yards from the coast in the peaceful village of Howick. The slightly larger fishing village of Craster is also accessible via the coast path about 30 minutes’ walk away, where there is a tourist information centre and a pub.

Els visitants lloen la pau i la bellesa dels llocs i els espais privats, especialment les tendes tipus campana i les cabanes de pastors. Els amfitrions, Dave i Jude, són molt apreciats per la seva calidesa, hospitalitat i ajuda, i molts valoren els esmorzars i sopars a domicili. La xemeneia de llenya i la foguera són molt populars. La majoria va trobar el lloc net, tot i que un convidat va notar manca d'instal·lacions per fregar. La ubicació és excel·lent per explorar la zona.

Em va agradar Really beautiful location, the bell tent was set well away from other parts of the site so you had a great sense of privacy. Dave & Jude were lovely hosts, breakfast butties delivered to the tent in the morning was an amazing addition. Really helpful and lovely people but gave us our own space which was great. Loved the tent and the fire pit and BBQ area. Would definitely stay again.

Cabana de pastor 1 habitació

Em va agradar The welcome was so warm and friendly. The shepherds hut was lovely. It was a peaceful and relaxing location. Close to all the major attractions you go to see

Em va agradar The bell tent was perfectly situated to take in the views across the fields
It was very comfortable
Loved the wood burner for the evening when it got a little bit chilly , made the tent so cosy
Jude and Dave were so welcoming
We had breakfast brought to the tent which was fab and a meal in the evening which was delicious
Lots to see around the area.
We plan to visit again (probably stay in the shepherds hut next time, which looks lovely) as we could not visit everything we wanted to
Would highly recommend a visit to The Old Rectory
