Em va agradar Callum was really friendly and helpful with excellent customer service and good knowledge of surrounding areas and wildlife. The site is a perfect location for a base camp to explore the vast stunning area. Ideal place for walkers and wildlife spotters.
Beautiful sunset and sunrise views from the campsite.
Booked up for 1 night (last minute decision).... The area, the walks and the wildlife were so impressive we really wanted stay another night, Callum was kind enough to fit us in at such short notice

There is a great walk from the campsite to the local village where you can get food at The Mason Arms

When it gets dark on the campsite ... listen out for the owls in the feilds and woods nearby

Em va agradar The owners are lovely. The pitch was a generous size. The facilities were clean. Lovely views.

No em va agradar The toilets are very far from the camping section. This was fine for me as I had older children but if you were coming camping with smaller children you may want to bring some sort of potty or camping toilet.

No em va agradar There was no place to wash the dishes. The sanitary facilities were inadequate and not very clean. The manager keeps driving around the site in his large car. There were dogs using the campsite for there needs.

No em va agradar Expensive at £25 per night, small pitches too close to others with big pot holes, filthy dirty deathtrap bathrooms with a high step in and out the shower which no way I was going to use, no hand towels or soap, massive hole in floor outside toilet cubicles, close to a very noisy road kept you awake all night even with ear plugs, no amenities none, owner Callum tried to come off nice but was creepy and had to tell him I carry a knife, filthy caravans onsite, overgrown hedges, just a horrible nasty and somewhat scary experience as a seasoned solo camper … never again ..,

Em va agradar Lovely little site, callum and Heather very welcoming, callum was on hand through out the day always happy to help,popping down picking rubbish seeing there if you need help,I was in a tent solo camping felt safe ,callum and another family camping helped seting up my tent(thank you hope to see use again) shower was hot toilet block is dated but hot running water and toilet was all that is needed, I brushed and moped them out after using,(if every one did that after use would be helpful,it only what you would do in your own bathroom),,very central to the area, I will return in the future 😀

Em va agradar Mr White was particularly helpful and very attentive. He helped out with a number of matters and responded quickly if anything needed attention. He was very customer focused and a real credit to the site!

The pitches were clean and there were 2 rubbish bins for the camping field. We were even supplied a black bag for rubbish!!

The pitch was as large as needed and we were not crowded in to a small space.

No em va agradar The facilities were very below par! And at the opposite end to the camping pitches (not a long distance, but poorly laid out). The toilet block was in a poor condition with broken windows (which had been boarded from the outside) and very dated. Some of the doors didn’t lock, which was less than ideal. The ladies facilities were clean, but the male facilities smelled and were not as clean. There was no soap in the dispenser to wash hands after using the toilet, so had to result to bringing own bar of soap!

There was no where to wash pots and pans, although when asked, There was an area in the process of being built, but worked had been stopped on this development.

There was only one water point at the camping end and this was located next to the hard standing pitches for caravans. This meant that a number of the caravans were connected to the water point and made it difficult to refill water containers.

Not within the control of the management, but the road next to the site was used as a racetrack in the evenings, which meant that you were disturbed by vehicles excessively speeding past.

Didn't look like they had been cleaned in months, very unpleasant smell, no hand soap and very poor condition.
Advertised pub was a derelict building, no pot wash facilities, traffic noise from busy road never let up.
Abandoned static caravans unsightly
