How handy is this location? Howden Holiday Park is about a mile from the East Yorkshire town of the same name, and it’s very well placed for all sorts of transport options. For starters, the M62 is only about five minutes’ drive away, giving you a nice easy journey to get here in the first place. After that, it’s easy to get around on the train from the station 10 minutes’ walk away (with services to York, Hull, Bridlington and other locations) or bus services from the town. And if your sights are set on destinations beyond these shores, it’s also handy to know that Hull’s ferry port is about half an hour away. All of this adds up to a nifty location for your break, whether you’re stopping over en route to the continent or planning to settle here and explore for a while. And of course with Howden being so close by you’ll also be well placed for its supermarkets, independent shops (including a traditional baker, butcher and greengrocer) and places to eat and drink – not to mention the Gothic minster. This family-run holiday park was set up in 2024 to welcome touring vehicles to well-kept and spacious hardstanding pitches with electric and water hook-ups. The owners pride themselves on exemplary service and have set up the park with all mod cons for your stay: you’ll have access to drinking water stations, a launderette, washing-up areas and chemical disposal as well as smart bathrooms with hot showers and accessible facilities.

Aquest nou càmping té banys excel·lents d'alt nivell i parcel·les espaioses amb aigua i electricitat. Em va agradar Great sized serviced pitches, level and flat.
Facilities excellent, clean and modern.
Location good.
Friendly owner.

No em va agradar Due to being a new site there were a few things that were ongoing, such as Elsan point location, but this was later explained by the owner.

Em va agradar New campsite for howden, nice large pitches with electric and water , open views of countrysde with amazing sunsets , ideally placed for short walk into howden for its many bars, shops,cafes and history. A hopper bus is available outside train station during working hours taking you to howden or goole, campsite is ideal for travel by train to Leeds york hull, London etc , shower block one of the best , includes a washer for convenience, site has roughly 30 pitches all hard standing ,

No em va agradar The light in the shower block goes off whilst having a shower if nobody else is using the facilities, need to wave outside of the cubical area to re activate sensor

Em va agradar What a gem of a find, a lovely and convenient site with everything you need to explore with the train station being a 10 minute walk.
Toilet and shower block immaculate
Check in and information pack was a lovely touch.
Staff super helpful, will definitely be back again.

Em va agradar The site is New…so it’s lovely and clean, the shower block is built to a very high standard which is Great👌. The owner is extremely friendly, he shared his knowledge of the local area, the best places to visit and dine, the local village is picturesque with great places to eat and shop, we will definitely stay again when in the area.

Em va agradar Bathroom facilities were amongst the best I've ever used. All brand new and done to a really high standard, the owners who also staff the site are very relaxed and welcoming. Pitches were really well serviced with no issues running everything in our van. Can't recommend enough.

No em va agradar Nothing. The owner came to us initially and warned us of the road noise, not entirely warranted we have stayed in much louder sites but it was really appreciated and worth noting if you are very sensitive to noise.

Your local town is the place to start – primarily to visit the wonderful Gothic architecture of Howden Minster (20 minutes’ walk). After that, perhaps it’s off to Selby (20 minutes’ drive) to see its 11th-century abbey or over to the Yorkshire Waterways Museum (15 minutes) to learn a bit more about the area’s history. York (40 minutes) must definitely be on your list too – for the minster, the city walls, the Jorvik Viking Centre and a stroll down The Shambles. And Hull (half an hour) is more than just a ferry port – apart from anything it has two excellent attractions in The Deep aquarium and the Streetlife Museum. For nature walks and birdwatching, take your boots and binoculars at Howden Marsh Local Nature Reserve (three minutes) or the tidal reedbeds at RSPB Blacktoft Sands (25 minutes). If you don’t mind a slightly longer drive, consider Bridlington beach, the grand Castle Howard or Scampston Hall & Walled Garden too – all are about an hour’s drive away.
