Is it quality time you’re looking for around Southwold, the Norfolk Broads and other top Suffolk and Norfolk spots? Halesworth Holiday Park is in Suffolk, but it's well placed for all sorts of outings in both Suffolk and Norfolk – it's a 20-minute drive from Southwold and The Broads, with destinations like Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Great Yarmouth further out. It's a family-friendly set-up at this place, and dogs are welcome too (kept on a lead at all times and cleared up after, the site requests). The small wooded area at the rear of the site is handy for those shorter dog walks, and the coast and The Broads have more to offer on that front. How about those post-walk meals and ales? For that, take a 20-minute walk into Halesworth, a pleasant little town with pubs (and shops too). Halesworth Holiday Park is also five minutes’ drive away from a 190-acre golf course when you fancy teeing off. On site, facilities include a washing-up room, grey and brown wastewater disposal points, bins for rubbish and recycling, a long freshwater hose and a service point with a wastewater drain. There’s also a toilet block with ladies' and gents' loos, a good-quality shower and a disabled wet room that includes a toilet and shower, all with underfloor heating.

Em va agradar I liked that it was a small site and was adult only.

No em va agradar The warden liked to play loud music for all to hear and had a daughter who clearly wasn’t an adult.

Em va agradar The original Manager ( Neal) was very welcoming, friendly.

No em va agradar When we chose this site it was because it was quite central to the places we wanted to visit, and had read that the noise from the road was very quite.
The road next to the site was extremely loud and also there was some kind of machinery which was running either first thing in the morning or last thing at night, so there was a very noisy droining noise.
Also the field next to us had the combineharvester going , so we had to close all our windows and close our awning as the dust completely covered us.
Also on our arrival after meeting the manager Neal who was very nice, we were approached by another man telling us that he was the new manager.
Who then went on to ask us how we'd paid!!!!!.
Which we thought was very inappropriate.
While we there another static caravan arrived on site and was then informed by the said new manager that his boss had done a big deal with Sizewell C and that there will be over 20 static caravans arriving on site for the workers from Sizewell.
This is quite a small site so not a lot of room left for touring caravans.
Then the same night we had to endure very loud music coming from his static caravan which was next to our caravan, it continued till nearly 11 o'clock at night, until we asked if he could turn it down.
There always seemed to be a problem with the smell coming from the toilet waste point and the ladies toilet block.

Em va agradar Good size pitches. Pretty much level.
Good WiFi. 15-20 minutes walk into Halesworth. Nice pedestrian walkway of shops, galleries coffee shops and restaurants there. A recommend the Angel Hotel for food!

No em va agradar A bit of road noise but quiet at night.
A great shame the adjacent pub is closed.

Em va agradar Good location, site well kept. Site was not busy so no issue with 1 toilet/shower and facilities were clean with lots of hot water and good shower pressure. Pot wash area good too. Easy walk into Halesworth (about 1 mile).

No em va agradar Too much road noise for me.
WiFi good signal bit seemed to block iPlayer etc.

Em va agradar Friendly welcome. Quiet leval pitch. Good size for caravan, awning & car. Good location for visiting Southwold, Aldeburgh, Norwich & surrounding area. 20 mins approx 1 mile walk to Halesworth. Clean shower & toilets.
Good WIFI. Some road noise but not significant.

No em va agradar Small issue, showers require new curtains & rails. (rails rusty).

The owner meets you and is very friendly.
The toilets and showers are modern and extremely clean.
Nice dog walk through their own close at the end of the site.
Shane the pub isn’t still open

Boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding or birdwatching on The Broads (20 minutes’ drive) take your fancy? Pedalling down the waterside trails there instead? Or taking your binoculars out to go birdwatching around the waterways or at RSPB Minsmere (25 minutes)? In Southwold (20 minutes), there’s a different scene, including beach huts and a restored Victorian pier. A short stroll along the river Blyth gets you to a foot ferry that visits Walberswick across the water. In the village, pastimes include crabbing off the riverbanks and bridge or having a nice brew in one of the tea rooms. Covehithe Beach (20 minutes) is a rather peaceful sandy stretch for a quieter beach day. However, those of you who prefer more action may want to visit Great Yarmouth (45 minutes) instead. Museums, an aquarium and sailing yacht hire are part of the highlight reel in that seaside resort. An itinerary from this site shouldn’t forget Norwich (45 minutes) either, where there's a medieval cathedral, Norman castle and local museum… plenty of history to keep you going.
