Set within the rural village of West Row in Suffolk, the New Park Farm pitches look out over arable fields and the village’s allotments. It’s a great spot for aircraft enthusiasts who don’t want to be right under the flight path, but close enough to enjoy the comings and goings of planes from RAF Lakenheath (15 minutes’ drive). There’s plenty of space on the neatly mown field, so you can spread out if you’re after more privacy, or huddle together if you’re staying with friends and family. You can also kickback on the daybed, and huddle up around the firepit for warmth on chillier evenings. Practical amenities include mains electricity and a water tap at each pitch, showers, basic baby-changing facilities, a simple washing-up sink and a laundry room. The well-stocked caravan and camping accessory shop opens most mornings, so you can stock up on supplies too. New Park Farm backs onto the River Lark, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the pitches. Fishing is available (with the correct permit), and you can give paddleboarding and kayaking a go on the water, or simply have a stroll down the river to the local pub (15 minutes’ walk), which serves good food. The site is also close to Newmarket (20 minutes), the birthplace of British flat racing, as well as lots of activity parks for the kids.

Em va agradar Good clean little site. Lovely lady who met us, showed us all facilities and even gave us some kindling free of charge for our fire. Good clean shower rooms.

Nice quiet location

No em va agradar took me a while to find the tap for my pitch, but l eventually worked it out

Not too keen on having to unlock and lock the gate by means of a combination lock each time l drove in or out of the site. Even trickier in the dark.

Local Motocross track nearby, very noisy first thing in the morning till late at night
Site owner not seen all weekend, so large family group kicking football, and riding bikes between pitches

Del gerent: We are in the process of installing new signage to the farm, in fact the builder only finished the brickwork this week , so the new sign will be bigger to see, there is still a small sign in place so you must have missed this on arrival.
As I explained in my arrival message I was on a course this weekend however when I arrived at site saturday evening at 7pm all was quiet and upon speaking to others campers they were happy with everything on site.
I feel maybe you should seek Adult only sites.

Em va agradar This is a super site. Great contact from Harmeione, who is the loveliest lady and really helpful and friendly. Very clean, well maintained and has plenty of space for our big tent. The showers and toilets are exceptionally clean. The showers are the best showers we have ever used on a campsite. They are hot and work really well with great pressure. There is a washing machine and tumble drier on site and a washing up area. The site is in a beautiful setting with loads of walks around the area. A working farm, so some tractor noise but nothing unbearable. If you are into Aircraft, this is the place to be. There is nothing better than being woke up in the morning by 2 jets flying over your tent. It's absolutely amazing. We have had a fantastic week and would definitely go back there again. Highly recommend for that quaint and quiet retreat.

Tenda piramidal

Em va agradar Me and my partner spent a night at New Park Farm and had the most special time. Hermione kindly provided firewood, marshmallows and skewers for our evening and made sure that we were as comfortable as possible throughout our stay. Lovely river which is about a five minute walk away. Shower and toilet facilities kept very clean. Pub with lovely riverside benches just a 10 minute walk down a pedestrian path. Honestly could not recommend this place enough! Will definitely be coming back.

Fans of planes vintage or modern, you’ll be in your element at New Park Farm. RAF Lakenheath (15 minutes’s drive) is open for you to inspect vintage military craft, and you’ll often see 21st-century fighter planes taking off from there on the skyline. You can also watch the manoeuvres at RAF Mildenhall Visitors’ Centre (10 minutes), where US Air Force planes occasoinally land too. Your kids will never have a dull moment. They can go karting at Red Lodge (15 minutes), practise their off-road moves at Phoenix Bike Park (20 minutes) and zoom around quad bike trails at WildTracks Outdoor Activity Park (15 minutes). If they’d rather spectate than compete, there’s drag racing at Mildenhall Stadium (10 minutes) too. Keen to do some cultural sightseeing? There’s the Gothic-era cathedral and half-timbered Oliver Cromwell’s House visitor centre at Ely (25 minutes), while historic Bury St Edmunds (half an hour) offers up 11th-century St Edmundsbury Abbey, surrounded by peaceful leafy gardens – and for a change of pace you can tour the well-known Greene King Brewery too.
