With stunning views over mixed countryside in the pretty county of Worcestershire, Mill House is home to a range of well-maintained pitches and some good amenities, including a toilet block, showers and a handy washing-up area for your pots and pans. Its location also helps it to stand out, as the site is between the scenic River Severn and the Droitwich Canal, a quick 10-minute drive from the centre of historic Worcester and next to an attractive marina. Mill House is a chilled-out kind of place – one where you're welcome to bring dogs along to join the family break and barbecues are permitted for some alfresco eats. Supermarkets, butchers and other amenities are just a short drive down the A449, making it simple to source provisions for your stay. There’s also a local bus route a short distance away, so it's easy to leave the car back at base and get out and about in the local area. Fancy a spot of angling? At Mill House, river fishing is available for an extra fee. There are also plenty of walks and cycling trails along the waterways and in the surrounding countryside to explore during your time here.

There’s a games room to keep kids entertained and the toilets and showers are the cleanest I’ve ever seen on a public site

Em va agradar Good facilities in site including showers, toilets and bar. Clean site with lots to do for the kids.

No em va agradar Pitch was grass and very muddy. Electric not very powerful as kept tripping out all the time.

Em va agradar Facilities absolutely perfect - super clean always maintained hot showers and toilets clean. Owners / maintenance staff really friendly and nothing was too much trouble offered good local knowledge of where to venture further if you asked - pop up bar very well stocked and affordable - really nice atmosphere

No em va agradar Use of electric scooters / e bike / motorcycles running though the site very close to pitches. This was challenged by the site owners but not really enforced throughout the whole stay. I think a whole ban on these modes of transport should be put in place or a designated area allowed - in the information leaflet upon arrival it stated a shop with local information available - this was not so. There was no shop and there was no local travel / bus route / pubs/ taxi / takeaway info available - this may be something that could be offered

Em va agradar Been to this site several times over the years, stayed a couple of nights 19th-21st April. I have to say the new owners have improved the facilities, showers excellent, clean and modern. They have a micro bar and a games room. Well worth a stay. We will return.

As it's just a few miles to the north of Worcester (10 minutes' drive), you're sure to want to get into the city to visit attractions like Worcester Cathedral (with its famous Norman Crypt), the timber-framed Tudor House Museum, the Royal Worcester Museum with its extensive porcelain collection and Worcester Woods Country Park (out of town, 15 minutes’ drive), which is great for a picnic or dog walk. Slightly further afield, a half-hour drive will get you into the midst of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a green and grassy range of peaks with lots of hikes to choose from. Head in the opposite direction for a day trip to Kinver Edge (half an hour), an elevated sandstone ridge and ancient hillfort with far-reaching views. Got kids who need to be kept entertained? Cadbury World (40 minutes) on the edge of Birmingham is sure to prove popular with sweet-toothed tiddlers. Other good options in the vicinity of Mill House include the West Midland Safari Park (20 minutes) and Full Throttle Raceway (half an hour), where there's a separate mini track for young children.
