In The Stix

In the Stix is a beautiful site tucked away in an undulating field in the county of Rutland. It consists of 6 geodesic domes, which provide on original space, designed by ourselves, to give our guests a unique experience. Each dome is fitted out with a fully plumbed en-suite bathroom, and beautifully fitted out with some carefully chosen pieces of furniture providing our guests with a feeling of luxury. They each have Chesterfield leather sofas, log burners, individually sourced armchairs, rugs and our very popular hanging chairs. The beds are all king size or larger (we don't believe in double beds) and the linens are all cotton. We have tried to think of everything, so that all you need to bring with you are your clothes and your food (although, if you don't want to cook you can of course selected a dish from our meals options. Breakfast hampers are also on offer, should you wish to sample the best proud that Rutland has to offer. Each dome has it's own private kitchen, which all your pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, tinfoil, clingfilm, kitchen roll and we hope everything you could possibly need! You have a 2 ringing gas hob and your own log oven/BBQ so you still get the full experience of outdoor cooking, but without the hassle. If you want to relax we have our log fired hot tubs. These are private to each dome, perfect for a daytime dip, or unwinding under the night sky, while you watch for shooting stars. New for 2024 we have our log fired Sauna. This is available to book for a morning or afternoon session and is available to the whole campsite. We also have a large fire pit which can seat the whole campsite and a playground, with swings, slides and some football goals to keeps the children amused. If you are joining us for a group booking we have a large event space, which provides the group with a place to cook, entertain and eat together. The domes are off grid and lit via solar, but the event space can offer electric should you want to plan a special event or party.

We are lucky enough to back onto miles of footpaths for walking or cycling straight from your dome, not a road in sight. New for 2024 we have an additional 15 acres of newly planted trees and meadow to explore. This is all fenced in so is completely safe for children and dogs alike. Rutland Water is only a 10 minute drive or a 6km cycle away. Here you have several activities available: Aqua park (inflatable park) Sailing mini golf kayaking open water swimming Rutland Belle (passenger boat offering daily cruises)
