Here’s a Cotswold glamping getaway you’ll find hard to turn down. Wychwood Glamping, on the edge of the village of Milton-under-Wychwood, has a gorgeous smallholding setting with heaps of walks on local footpaths and bridleways right from the door and Cotswolds adventures all around. It’s a five-minute walk to get to the village pub, shop or artisan bakery and café. So, you should have plenty of fuel for all your hikes and outdoor activities As an adults-only site, there won’t be any miniature humans running around. The land is on a gentle slope, where there are paddocks for all the animals. The site has dogs, a cat and some quail. On the five-acre smallholding (named Heath Barn), there’s also a beehive, Herdwick sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and a horse. As a result, home-produced honey is sometimes available (how sweet) and chicken eggs are always available. Where might you explore by the day? Chipping Norton is the nearest town, 15 minutes’ drive away, but the site is also handy for big farm shops such as Daylesford Organic (15 minutes’ drive) and Soho Farmhouse (half an hour). Blenheim Palace, a historic house and World Heritage Site, is half an hour’s drive away from Wychwood Glamping too.
