Sink your teeth into this adults-only shepherd’s hut, well-situated for hikers and outdoor fans in the Northamptonshire countryside… The Orchard at Stowe is in the peaceful hamlet of Church Stowe, 10 minutes’ drive from Towcester and 15 minutes from the Silverstone Circuit, where racing events and driving experiences will bring some action. What a set-up for outdoorsy adults - the hut is accessible down a path through a small spinney, which originates from the hut’s private, off-road car park. Get your digital detox in the private paddock, which is totally off-grid and surrounded by rare-breed Leicester Longwool sheep. You’ll have a front-seat view of the sheep and the surrounding countryside with the tables and sunloungers that are set out over the hardstanding areas. Part of that precious outdoor space is a separate area with a barbecue and an outdoor dining set for sunset dinners, morning brews and afternoon aperitifs (whatever you fancy, really). The inside of the hut is rather cosy indeed. There’s a kingsize bed, a breakfast table and a fully-fitted kitchen with a fridge, a gas hotplate and sink. Bring your own towels for the ensuite shower room, which is kitted out with a full-size shower, sink and flushing toilet. There’s no wifi, so busy yourself with adding the provided charcoal to the barbecue and chiminea or cooking up something tasty using the crockery, pots, pans and utensils provided. There’s tea, coffee, sustainable toiletries, maps and games at your disposal too. If you’d like to treat yourself to a dinner for two or a coffee date, look towards Towcester, Northampton (25 minutes’ drive) or the Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre, which is 25 minutes’ walk away and has niche shops, a restaurant and a tearoom.

Em va agradar Beautiful site. Lovely reception from the owners. Shepherds hut thoughtfully fitted out to a high spec. Great walks on the door step, including Grand Union Canal. Quiet, private and peaceful. Magical

Em va agradar Beautiful, calm decor. Total seclusion with a large, private area of the paddock to eat, chill and do other outdoor activities including a fire in the Chimnea. Heating control right above the bed making it easy to put on when waking up in the cold. Reading lamp right above the bed too. Large, comfy bed. Loads of kitchen utensils, pans, chopping boards, knives etc to cook meals in a pan on the gas top. Extras such as eggs, butter, fruit from the orchard, thank you. Hot, powerful shower which was lovely.

Em va agradar Lovely location, very peaceful, amazing well kept hut, all the amenities youd need and more! Access to a firepit, sun loungers, outdoor cooking and bbq. Great little bathroom with lovely hot shower. Comfy bed and great little dining space. Beautifully decorated throughout and very private.

No em va agradar Nothing i disliked atall, just a few things to note, the bed pulls down over the seating area and can be difficult to put back up, the owners checked in with me in the morning to see if i needed a hand putting it back up. The bed is abit high, but the owners had some steps in the cupboard in the property to use. The steps leading up to the door have no hand rail, anthough when the door is open you can use the handle from there.

Em va agradar Everything......this was a wonderful place to stay.
We loved getting away from everything and only having the sheep for company. The barbecue equipment was excellent and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in on holiday. Shower was very powerful and the best shower experienced while glamping.
