Craving that feeling of being in the middle of nowhere… but also kind of keen to be close to local amenities? The answer lies at AllThings Camping, a quiet place that’s tucked away in the Northamptonshire countryside but also well placed for lots of handy infrastructure. At this laidback off-grid site, you’ll be staying in a peaceful seven-acre field with simple facilities including a shower and a couple of compost toilets. There’s also a shared mess tent with some basic kitchen kit (including a kettle and some tea and coffee supplies) and seating for those times when you need somewhere weatherproof to relax. Coffee and cakes are available on site during the school holidays and the big Silverstone weekend (the famed circuit is a 20-minute drive away). The vibe here is super chilled, with kids and dogs welcome, plenty of space to relax and low levels of light pollution often leading to some pretty good stargazing. Nearby, you’ll be able to walk in the woods or along the canal (five minutes’ drive). Shops, cafés, boat rentals and river swimming spots are also a few minutes’ drive away, and there’s a Roman fort about a mile away. So far, so rural… but in fact there are plenty of useful facilities nearby, either in the nearby village of Nether Heyford (five minutes) or in bigger towns like Daventry (10 minutes) and Northampton (20 minutes). AllThings Camping is also very handy for the M1, as it’s only about 10 minutes’ drive from Junction 15.

Em va agradar Nice quite open space that did not feel crowded with a friendly atmosphere. A very scenic area.

The host is very pleasant and welcoming.

Em va agradar Lots of space between plots to spread out. Stunning meadow views abd fields surrounding the campsite was a lovely bonus.
Libby was a friendly host with helpful knowledge of the area, and she had hay fever tablets to the rescue.

Em va agradar Very peaceful site. Pitches are huge. Remote area but great to walk around to local villages and canal. Libby the host is lovely with her meet and greet.

No em va agradar Nothing we disliked at all as we know what to expect. But for some ensure you read about the facilities if that's what you look for. We are self sufficient and facilities are very basic but perfect for the environment you are staying at so I say enjoy the moment of staying here as soon peaceful surroundings

Em va agradar Followed \\\what three words straight to the site gate. Found a nice spot and parked up my van. What a delight, weather helped but gorgeous walks around the local corn fields. Flat well kept field with minimal but sufficient facilities. Compost loo and gas shower which was warm.
Host was lovely, apologies didn’t catch a name, came round for a chat. They have great plans for the site and if I’m back near Daventry I will certainly visit again.
