It pays to do your research fully before booking any Campsite/Campground 🙂
We are a Rustic Farm Stay Campground set up for Plane Spotters, due to our close proximity to the Airfield at RAF Coningsby.
The Pallet Fencing is a quirky touch to the Campground/Campsite to which you are staying on.
The Campsite was a working Pig Farm in the past so the grass was never a “Grass Field” to begin with.
However unless you have not been living in the UK since April, you should be well aware of the Hot Weather and “Heat Waves” we have had and continue to be experiencing.
We are very flexible with booking arrival times and accommodate if Customers wish to arrive first thing in the morning, so unfortunately if the
Campsite has more than 2 bookings on it we don’t mow the grass until its empty or worse case scenario 1x Pitch is occupied.

Regarding your “No Showers” comment, you were staying in your own Motorhome, do you not have this facility on board your own accommodation ?
In response to your comment regarding “a Field with nothing” Electric Hook Up, Fresh Water Supply, Toilet with Sink, Waste Water Disposal and Rubbish/Recyling Bins, Viewing Platform of the Airfield 200 meters from the perimeter fence, they are the basics of a rustic/farm stay Campground.

Typhoon, Hurricane, and Spitfire were out flying during our visit - Bonus!
I am a big believer in recycling, and this process is simple and easy to follow.
Elsan point is a bonus.
Drinking water is available.
The viewing platform is a great addition.
Pitches are large and easily identifiable.
I would recommend this site, and the aircraft activity is a big bonus.
Dawn was very friendly, kept me updated via text regarding our stay.

Great site and worth a visit especially if you like Typhoon aircraft!

Em va agradar Great site for watching the aircraft flying from Coningsby. Very picturesque and peaceful(between aircraft activity). Within walking distance to Coningsby Town where you can top up on groceries have a pub meal etc. Can also grab a take away or visit the local church.
The site manager(Dawn) is very helpful and communicates well, visiting on site ensuring all okay.

Em va agradar Access to view RAF fighter jets doing their stuff. Treated to a practice display by a frontline Typhoon. Nice friendly owner. Loads of wildlife including partridges, hares, deer, nesting house martins etc. Nice quiet site (except for the aircraft) All you really need , except for a shower block.
