Greenery and space are on the menu at The Pepper Pot Caravan Park near Dursley in Gloucestershire, which is kept tiptop by its on-site and friendly wardens, who live in and are on hand for any advice or help needed by Pepper Potters during their stay. Facilities are well-maintained and in a purpose-built shower and loo block; an indoor washing-up area and a coin-operated washing machine are also on site. But one of the greatest bits about The Pepper Pot Caravan Park? The Pepper Pot Café Bar, a place to get your mitts on traditional breakfasts, fresh coffee, light lunches and children's meals every morning and afternoon. This is a very decent spot to use as a base for exploring Gloucestershire and its surrounds, particularly for those who like their wildlife or historic homes. Two golf clubs are within a quick drive, as is Berkeley Castle (10 minutes' drive away) and the Cattle Country Farm Park (five minutes' drive).

Aquest càmping ofereix instal·lacions netes i ben cuidades, places espaioses i personal amable, especialment Nikki. La seva ubicació és convenient, a prop de la M5 i amb un pub adjacent. Tot i que hi ha soroll de l'autopista i la via fèrria, la majoria ho considera soroll de fons. Em va agradar Perfect stay, very quite, lovely clean and amazing atmosphere very family friendly, and Nicki what a lovely lady, she couldn’t help anymore always polite and the whole stay was amazing,
And reading previous reviews there was no smell of dope anywhere on this campsite it was so clean and very friendly

We will defiantly be back!! We loved our stay and our country walks with our dog

No em va agradar We have visited Pepper pot many times but is has gone down hill, the people on the pitch next to us were loud and constantly smoking dope, the overall look of the place looks like a travellers camp. The pub has also gone next door so there really isn’t anything around there anymore. The place is up for sale and it really does show

Em va agradar Friendly staff, nice clean toilet/ shower facilities
It would be good value for just a one night stop over enroute to elsewhere

No em va agradar Very isolated, not within walking distance of any amenities. We knew this but booked it anyway as it advertised the onsite Pepperpot pub serving hot food and drinks. However, on arrival we were informed this was closed which was very disappointing. We were also informed if you go off site in your vehicle you are unable to get back in after 10pm as the gate is locked until morning .

Pitch surfaces seemed to be non compacted road plannings creating an unsuitable surface.

It was a shame the site seemed to be also used for some caravan storage opposite our pitch which kind of spoiled the ambience . We left after one night.

* Well laid out
* Pitch easy to find/well signed.

No em va agradar * Definitely more suited to caravan/RV/Tent boxes etc than tents.
* You can see and hear the motorway which wasn’t great but you did get used to it.

Em va agradar The people in charge were lovely, and the grounds and facilities were clean. Would recommend to other people and will stay there again.

No em va agradar Parking isn't always in the best places depending on what camping pitch you have, and brambles need to be kept on top of, plus no where to wash your dishes, which is a pain when camping.

Del gerent: Many thanks for your review. Just to clarify we have a washing up area with 2 sinks and draining boards plus a washing machine available for our guests. It is situated next to the Gent's showers.

Em va agradar Only staying for one night

No em va agradar Next to railway line, trains every 15 minutes.Next to motorway. Pub closed unlikely advertised. Had to then drive to a supermarket for a 4 pack and a coop meal deal. Not the best site. Two toilets and sinks. Had to wipe the toilets before use.

Two golf clubs are within a quick drive, the Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club two and a half miles away and the Cotswold Edge Golf Club within five. Also within a short drive are Berkeley Castle and the Vale of Berkeley (two and a half miles) and the Cattle Country Adventure Park (two miles) for yee-haw adventuring. Wildlife types have the River Severn Estuary and the Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust to explore within six and seven miles respectively, with more species to see at Oldown Country Park eight miles away; wildfowl and other critters along the nearby Gloucester to Sharpness Canal, and Dean Forest and the Wye Valley 11 miles from base. More into historic homes, local history or greenery? Take your Pepper Pot pick from the National Trust's Woodchester Mansion and park or Westbury Court Gardens (seven and 11 miles); Chavenage House and the National Arboretum at Westonbirt (both ten miles), or the National Waterways Museum at Gloucester Docks 16 miles away. The Pepper Pot team also recommends a punt at Chepstow Racecourse, 11 miles away; a look at the longest village green in England at Frampton On Severn nine and a half miles away, or a dip at Dursley Pool and Sports Centre within five and a half miles. For day trips, sink into some shopping and sightseeing at Bristol or spa city Bath.
