Settle in for an afternoon's fishing and look out for wildlife like deer, rabbits and birds, all in a lovely Welsh/English border locale among old oak trees and Neolithic stones… welcome to Broadstone Park. This is a small, peaceful and family-run site between the market towns of Monmouth and Coleford, named after those Neolithic stones and in an area with plenty of options for walking, cycling and other outdoorsy activities. Indeed, the site is well-liked among the mountain biking community. Set yourself up for a day of pedalling at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre, 15 minutes' drive away, or a day of family-friendly activities at Puzzlewood, 10 minutes' drive away. Back at base, there is a small spring-fed coarse fishery for guests' use, stocked with carp, rudd, perch and bream and open daily from dawn to dusk. There's also a bar and a café on site for easy refreshments. Other facilities at Broadstone Park include a toilet and shower block.

Next to the Forest of Dean, lots of activities near by. Would 100% recommend Broadstone Park

No em va agradar Site is close to a busy road, so you can hear the traffic, but this place is still lovely.

He offered to store our mountain bikes due to concerns over thefts.
Very pretty site lots of animals and wildlife to spot.

Em va agradar Good clean facilities, friendly campsite big field. Bar area serving drinks and pizzas. This is our 3rd time staying at Broadstone and we enjoy every visit. Good base into the forest of Dean, particularly Symonds Yat and Mallards Pike.

Em va agradar Great campsite! Loved the location with lots in the doorstep to explore with kids.
The animals weee a fun touch and there was plenty of space in the field where we camped.

No em va agradar Close proximity to the road which was noisy.
There was also an illegal rave a few miles away which was blaring music through the night, but this of course couldn’t be helped. It was just a bit unfortunate. Other than these two points it was top notch!

Em va agradar Clean and spacious site, great little bar/cafe, staff very friendly.

No em va agradar Noisy road, donkey right behind our tent woke us up at 5am and a illegal rave going from 12am all through the night on in the field across the road

Em va agradar The campsite was clean, spacious, had great views, not too busy, toilet and shower facilities were close by, pizza was good, staff were really helpful and friendly, quiet at night and nice animals and nature in the morning.

No em va agradar At first glance doesn’t cater to specific allergens we have in the group however further information wasn’t requested from the staff.

Em va agradar A wonderful camping break with everything we could have hoped for.
The site itself was fantastic, well laid out, and clearly cared for. The toilets were clean and regularly checked. The owner and his family were genuinely amazing — friendly, welcoming, and always accommodating.

The facilities were fantastic, and the location was spot on. We loved that you could head straight out for a forest walk right from the camp. The on‑site pizza and bar were a real bonus, perfect for easy evenings after a day outdoors. The fishing ponds were a delight too, and we were really impressed by how seriously the owner took safety — he made sure the kids knew not to go near the ponds without an adult, which we appreciated.

Overall, a brilliant camping holiday. Relaxed, well‑run, family‑friendly, and full of thoughtful touches. We’ll definitely be back.

Straight from the rear of the site are several woodland walks, one of which takes guests past the Broad Stone, after which Broadstone Park was named. Others cover part of Offa's Dyke and walks to Monmouth, the River Wye and local viewpoints like famed Symonds Yat: ask the site team for their faves to follow. Also in the area are heritage options like Caldicot Castle and the Clearwell Caves, and the buildings and pleasure grounds of the Kymin, highly praised by one Admiral Nelson (take the trek up to the Round House for the best views). Many other walks, cycle paths and swinging around in the trees at Go Ape are in the Forest of Dean, half an hour's drive away, and both Monmouth and Coleford are around 15 minutes' drive away for more urbanised days out.
