Em va agradar Absolutely love this site - third time visiting, once with a group of girl friends, once with my partner and this time with my father. Beautiful part of the world with lovely forest to wander in and animals to look at.
Spacious pitches, metered EHU at a reasonable rate, good facilities. Jeff and the team are very welcoming and friendly - and the pizzas and Somersby on tap are delightful!
Will be back again very soon!

Em va agradar Great site and location. Pitch was large with a great walk with the dog through the woods. Great extras on site like fridge, freezers and dishwashers for you to use. Staff were very friendly - especially the young lady who showed us to our pitch and served behind the bar. Great hotdogs to watch the football with as well.

Em va agradar We were shown around the site by a friendly man in a little buggy who helped us pick out the perfect spot! It was a hot weekend so we wanted a bit of shade and found a great pitch.
Really relaxing nice campsite. Lots of room and has everything you need. There is a fridge, freezer and quick dishwasher on site.
There is a cafe/ bar on site that does breakfast in the morning and pizzas in the evening and you can get a pint of cider and sit by the lake with the resident chickens and the turkey. Very nice.

Wildlife haven, walks, peaceful site

Em va agradar Plenty of walks straight from the site. The owners are very friendly and never forget a face.
Nice cafe and bar on site.
Plenty of wildlife in the forests all around: deer and wild boar. One evening we saw a sow and her piglets not far from the campsite.
Some parts of the forest have grazing cattle, but they are Geo Fenced and you can track them on a website (info on cattle gate)
The internet reception is better than at home!

Em va agradar Easy to get to, facilities were good, plenty of space, countryside animals about the place. Watching the House Martins catching the bugs off the lake was lovely. Pizzas were nice.
No em va agradar There was a bit of road noise and only one fresh water tap, one of the locks in the gents showers was broken, but overall very minor things.

Em va agradar A great, well run and easily accessible campsite, right on the Welsh English border near Monmouth and Coleford. The welcome and hospitality on site were fantastic, facilities excellent and the added bonus of the choice of camping on either side of the border was a novelty! With the on site bar/food available, a peaceful time mid week this was a great base for exploring the area and relaxing after our days out and about. well worth a visit!
