Em va agradar The surrounding countryside is lovely and the facilities on site are good and clean.

No em va agradar Lack of signage on site for checking in,showers and extra toilets, freezer and charging ingredients points.
I know this wasn't just me , as two other customers arrived on site and asked me about checking in and where things were.
I did phone in to check in my arrival and was told that anywhere in the two fields was fine to pitch up. So I avoided the area designated for parking for the Shepherds Rest ( 1 small sign) and pitched to the side of the Rest and near the toilets. Not blocking the view of the shepherd's Rest and by no means impeding the parking.
The next morning it was requested that I move my tent for my 2nd night as apparently this area was also not meant to be pitched in, not clear at all!
Again better signage and also a bit more understanding, rather than "there is a sign" albeit 20 metres away and on the other side of the Shepherd's Rest would've been appreciated.

It should also be pointed out about the locality/facilities, that when it says a nice Pub within walking distance, it fails to mention that said Pub, is only open Thursday through to Sunday.

Em va agradar Great clean camp site. Very friendly and the owner always on hand if needed. Views were magnificent. Showers and toilets were good and clean. A basic camp ground ideal for shorter stays. Lovely pub down the road too. Fire pits available if you forget yours too .

No em va agradar Nothing bad really. 2 showers which if you were a late riser could mean you’re queing for a while. So get up early or shower just before bed when it’s quiet.
It’s working farm with lots of sheep. So it’s leads on for the dogs. Although around the tent we were ok to throw the ball to run some energy off.

Em va agradar This was our first time camping with the kids and I couldn't of asked for more, clean toilets and shower, beautiful views all round a really lovely camp site.

Em va agradar Good clean site with plenty of sinks to wash dishes etc and 6 toilets available with hand wash/loo roll and hand towels kept topped up. Walking path kept well maintained so easy to walk to toilets etc at night and campsite has generally good ambience and well maintained.

No em va agradar Only two showers for the whole campsite of which both had problems with intermittent going cold every 10 seconds. There was always queues both eve and mornings during a weekday stay. Something to be mindful of

No em va agradar We arrived on Thursday and had a lovely chilled evening - we managed to get a fairly level spot (a lot of the site is on a slope). All was great.

However - Friday arrived, with what seemed like, the rest of the UK’s population!

I get that busy is to be expected during school holidays, but this was a bit of a joke - people pitching tents right next to others, leaving no space. One poor guy, who had been there a few days, had to move after being smothered by new arrivals.

Cars and vans arriving until well after 9pm. Every time you thought ‘surely that’s it’ - another arrived.

The 10pm quiet rule was ignored by many - some playing really loud music until well after.

People seemed to let their dogs wander freely off-lead.

There are only 6 toilets - so the second you go for a wee, someone is trying the door.

But the worst thing of all - there were only 2 showers for the whole site. 200+ people and 2 showers! We went, saw the queue and gave up. Not only do I not want to queue for hours for a shower, but can you imagine what state they’d be in!! No thanks.

Such a shame, as the scenery is beautiful, the location is good and the lady who runs the site seemed lovely - they could really just do with capping the number of people!!

Em va agradar Amazing views, friendly and helpful owner, clean toilets and showers, lovely hot water for washing up, quiet site. Great location.
