喜欢 Friendly welcome. Great location. Fabulous views. It’s a field with portaloos! But can’t fault it. 15 mins walk into Hay. Beautiful walks down by the river and over to the Warren. Colin was there to welcome us and tell us where to and where not to go. It’s at the top of a hill so drainage for our big heavy van wasn’t a problem after a few days rain. The loos were kept spotless. If you’re looking for an all singing all dancing mod cons site then don’t go here. If you’re happy with the basics, amazing views, peace and quiet and a massive selection of really good pubs (and bookshops 😉) within a short stroll then give it a try. I’m glad we did 👍

不喜欢 People parking too close! You’ve got the whole field. Why do you need to come so close? £24 for electric seemed steep?

喜欢 Beautiful site within Portmeirion village. Less than 5 minutes walk away from the back entrance and with 24/7 access to the village. The site itself was beautifully laid out with separated private pitches with electric, water and a tv outlet. The toilets, showers and washing up area were immaculate and unbelievably clean. Hydrangeas everywhere you looked. You get full access to the village, the beautiful walks in the woods and the beach/coastline. Also access to the outdoor heated swimming pool which was an absolute treat. Yes, it’s expensive per night but that includes the 24:7 access to the village which takes it down to average.

不喜欢 Not a dislike, there is NOTHING to dislike about this site, but could do with a couple more washing up areas? It’s large and well equipped but really only one basin can be used at a time so there was quite often a queue.

喜欢 We love this site. It’s friendly, it’s clean, it’s 20 mins walk to Brixham marina (30 back!). We’ve been several times and will continue to visit. It’s big enough to have great facilities, loads of well kept loos/showers etc, absolutely brilliant bar with entertainment and well priced drinks, and a lovely fast food shed, while small enough to very much have that wonderful family run, friendly, welcoming feel and atmosphere. Pitches are level and well spaced. We love it.

喜欢 Brilliant site, level pitches. Really nice clean facilities. Friendly helpful staff, starting with a warm and organised welcome! 2 minutes walk to the SWCP and stunning views. 20 mins walk into brixham, big hill coming back 😂. There was a live singer in the bar one night, absolutely brilliant! Good and reasonably priced food available too. Love this site.

喜欢 Great directions to get there, friendly people informative staff relating queries before we got there. Lovely flat pitch right next to the babbling brook. Really nice site. On site bar, had a lovely , very well priced pint on Saturday night. Will definitely be back.

不喜欢 Not a dislike just a request, Could do with a seat of some kind in the shower (the changing room but) , and a shelf or something to put your bottles on.

喜欢 We love it here. We’ve been a few times now. The site is clean, well laid out and very well maintained. Toilet block is always sparkling clean. You can walk down to the beach through the woods. If the tide is out you can walk into New Quay. Fish and chips on the sea wall. It really doesn’t get any better.

喜欢 We love this campsite. We’ve been several times and it’s just great! The family who run it are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Great, generously sized pitches, the cleanest, nicest toilet/shower facilities. 15 mins walk to 2 lovely beaches. 45 mins walk to New Quay if the tide is right. It’s one of our favourite sites, they’ve got everything just right.

喜欢 Lovely site. Reading all the reviews, yes it’s car park ish. But there’s also loads of grass. The views are incredible. There’s a shop within spitting distance and a REALLY great pub 3 mins walk away. It’s peaceful and pretty and James is SO HELPFUL. Loved it. We will be back!

喜欢 I can’t even begin to report how good this campsite is. From the warm welcome from Karen and her amazing hanging baskets, to the location, 10 mins walk from the West Somerset railway station, and Quantock Brewery. 15 mins walk to The Lethbridge pub which serves delicious, authentic Thai food. And just over the road from it is a Chinese takeaway with the most scrummy food. We took the steam train into Minehead, wowow, incredible. The site is most unusual in that it’s on the edge of a village, so we just parked up, set up and walked everywhere. The microbrewery was incredible, they have different street food vans every night and the best beers! The site is in a field, behind Karen’s house. Hens roam freely, geese were wandering round and there’s a walk into the woods where bats are a plenty. We LOVED this site. We will be back. Multiple times!!

喜欢 Warm welcome. Great pub. Fabulous real ale! Field was level, we chose our spot and relaxed. Loved it. Couple of pints in the pub and back to the van to cook a curry.

喜欢 Wow. Just beautiful. This site has leapt straight into my favourites list! From the warm and informative welcome to the spotless facilities to the view. Everything was spot on. We stopped in the pod. Warm, comfortable and peaceful. There are sockets so you can charge photos etc and there’s light. BBQ/fire pit provided. The site is halfway ish between Aberaeron and New Quay. The toilets and showers were clean and modern. There’s a fridge, a freezer, a kettle and a microwave for everyone to use. The pitches are so well spread out, everyone has their own space. And the view! We saw kites, buzzards, bats and a barn owl. The Milky Way. And the sunset…. We’ll so definitely be back. Thank you.

不喜欢 Tiny tiny point rather than a dislike. The lights above the loo are sooo bright! We thought a car was sitting with its headlights on full beam! Obviously u detest and the need for them but maybe not so bright?

喜欢 Love this site. Friendly owners who couldn’t be more helpful. Perfect location, 10 mins walk from the beach and 40 mins walk into New Quay. It’s our second visit and there will definitely be more. Facilities are excellent too.

喜欢 Absolutely loved this site. From the minute we got there we were made to feel welcome. Beautiful field, great facilities and really friendly owners. On a working dairy farm. Went to sleep at night listening to the owls hooting and woke up to the cows mooing. And the stars! We were supposed to move on but stayed an extra 5 nights. Well kept, well run. You can’t walk to anywhere from the site but it’s in a great position to explore the Lizard Peninsula but car. Will definitely go back. Close to RNAS base so a lot of air traffic noise but spectacular to watch!

喜欢 Lovely site, really friendly owners. We must have got the best pitch on the site, fabulous sea view! Toilets were immaculate. 15 minute walk into Dawlish Warren. Very steep uphill on the way back! We walked down, got the train to Paignton then came back stopping off everywhere in between, great way to spend the day. Saturday night tea at The Mount Pleasant pub, 5 mins walk down the hill. Fabulous meal, thoroughly recommend. Back to the site. This isn’t a complaint or a dislike but if you’re after peace then this isn’t the site for you! It’s very family orientated, which is fabulous for families! That’s the only reason we wouldn’t stay again, just cos we’re getting old and like our peace and quiet!

喜欢 Really well organised friendly site. Lovely farm shop 2 mins walk away, get there early for fresh bread 🥖! Lovely walks, great pub nearby. Toilet/laundry/washing up facilities in the end of the site where we were were absolutely spot on, purpose built, so clean! Probably the best facilities I’ve ever seen on a camp site. Take away pizza was delicious and very welcome on Friday after a very long journey!

不喜欢 The electric points were very randomly placed. We had to buy a new lead as we couldn’t reach one from our pitch.

喜欢 The peace! Beautiful! Lovely site. Very very basic but working toilets, running water and amazing views. Loads of choice of where to pitch.

不喜欢 Bit tatty on the approach and not well signposted but once you’re in the site you forget that!

喜欢 Beautiful, really well kept site with AMAZING views. We were greeted by the friendly and welcoming owners and she had put us on a sea view pitch as requested, but most of them had sea views. They told us they took over the site 4 years ago and had put a lot of hard work into it, and boy it showed! Bathroom, washing up room and information room were so clean, modern and roomy. Brightly painted buildings, picnic benches and rocks really cheered up the site. Handy for New Quay (20 mins drive) but if you like a quiet beach, just go straight over at the end of the road and discover Penbryn beach - oh WOW, just beautiful! The only problem we had that I'm going to share, just so everyone can be prepared - if you've need to put a tent or awning up, take industrial strength pegs! The ground (even the grass) is slate and getting the pegs in was a NIGHTMARE! Especially as when we arrived it was raining, cold and the wind was howling! The next day dawned bright though, the weather was perfect and we watched an amazing sunset from the top of our campervan.
