喜欢 We loved the lake and the pool. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful when we arrived, she arranged for us to swap to a pitch with more shade which we were very grateful for in the 40deg heat. Facilities were fine. The location was amazing, lots to see and do. Castles, high ropes, beautiful bastide towns. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant on site on our last night.

喜欢 This was such a cool campsite! It's just a shame we didn't have longer to spend there! The kids absolutely loved the lake - they swam and borrowed canoes and a pedalo! The little tent field was fine, with trees for shade. The couple who run the campsite were so lovely and welcoming, speaking great English when we needed it. They bake fresh brötchen and croissants as soon as you order them. The showers and toilets were spotless. We made use of the washing machine too. We drove to a station (free parking) and got the train to Vienna (which took around 35mins). The stars at night were so bright!

喜欢 The children enjoyed the playground and woods. The price was low compared to other sites (I wish we had paid more to go elsewhere). The owners were friendly and did try to help when they could.

不喜欢 The A17 noise was horrendous. We didn't get used to it. It goes on all day and all night. Various levels of noise with huge lorries roaring past. It definitely stopped us sleeping and at times we couldn't have a conversation in our tent at normal volume! I realise there is nothing the owners can do about this but other reviews are misleading. No where near enough toilets and showers. 'Covid measures' not as stated and in my opinion not good enough. At the weekend, the field was pretty much full. We had to queue for 20 mins to go to the toilet (partly because of the system in place for covid) either way there were not enough for the number of people at the site! If the campsite was at reduced capacity I dread to think what it is like full. To have a shower we were not allowed to use the coin operating system which was in place but had to find one of the owners, pay in cash, then they would come inside the shower/toilet block with you (defeating the purpose of the one bubble only in the toilet block), turn the shower on with a key and time your shower! The system was ridiculous. We often couldn't find them when we wanted a shower. I really do not mind paying for my shower but the claim that they didn't want to handle the coins from the machine was a complete contradiction when we had to hand them the money directly! The toilets/showers were not cleaned very often at all. Several times during the week the bins with paper towels were overflowing and the toilet paper had run out. I was expecting additional cleaning due to covid. I only saw cleaning happening twice all week. Arrival/departure times were supposed to be adjusted due to covid so we did as requested and arrived after 2pm. But on the day we packed up a large group with several tents were already setting up before 11! Again increasing the number of people using the toilets etc. No wifi!

来自经理: Hi Annabel, I am very sorry that you didn’t like our campsite, but you obviously didn’t read the write up on PitchUp before booking! It clearly states that we are next to a very busy A road. As you were on the back field and out most days, I don’t think it surprising that you only saw the toilets being cleaned twice! I accept your point about the showers, but we always maintained the Gov guidelines currently in place. We have rules regarding the toilets and as a consequence a queue does form, usually in the mornings. The alternative is to close the facility totally and only accept those who have on board facilities. We thought that at least this way then all campers could still have a break. We have sanitiser available on the main gate and outside each toilet. I'm not sure what else you wanted and maybe if you had come and told me about the toilet roll and hand towels then they would’ve been refilled straight away. We ask you on arrival to let us know if you have any issues. You could have talked to me at any point during your week stay and one of us is ALWAYS on site! Regarding WiFi, it’s is also stated on our website details that we have NO WiFi. As I explained yesterday, the campers who arrived on the Saturday, they were one party of 5, who had driven a long way on a very hot day. Would you have preferred me to make them wait an extra 3 hours in above 30 degrees? They didn’t arrive until after 11 which, is our check out time, so those on the field were the only ones on the field, so no extra risk. Other people’s opinions are not misleading at all, everyone has their own opinion. What they have written is their opinion, your review is your opinion. Luckily, for us, those that don’t like our site are in the minority.

喜欢 Comfy beds, beautiful scenery, fire pit, delicious fresh eggs, helpful owners

不喜欢 There wasn't any hot water at the washing up station the morning we left. Think I'd arrived just after the washing showering rush in the morning!

Yes, I think you were very unlucky with hot water timings. Sorry about that...We are looking into investing into a gas combi-boiler to heat on demand, so that we can eliminate the infrequent occasions where the hot water tank runs out. xxx

喜欢 Beautiful scenery, great woods for the kids to explore, lots to do nearby, lovely owners who dealt with requests /problems straight away. Good facilities.

不喜欢 Proximity to neighbouring pitches (because of the slope on the pitch the best position for the tent meant we ended up sitting right next door to our neighbours who were very considerate but they were up late and our kids were up early so not ideal...but the actual slope on our pitch was really not that bad at all).

喜欢 The site was nice and small but had a brilliant pool, children's playground, games room and bar area. We really enjoyed various food nights put on e.g. roasted chicken and crepes, moules frites. And the pizzas at the bar were yummy too. The family bathroom was perfect for our 16 month old. The best bit was the large pitches with big trees, we had sunshine if we wanted it and plenty of shade which we needed when the temperatures were over 30deg. The people on the site were really friendly, we think some had permanent pitches or owned their caravans. Our daughter tried the kids club but she was a little young (not yet 5), but there were lots of activities on for children. The best thing about this site was the wonderful couple who run it. They seemed to be working 24/7 and were so helpful recommending activities/beaches/restaurants to us. They speak fantastic English too. There were lots of really nice beaches a short drive away. From the sites that we looked at this one seemed very reasonable in price.

不喜欢 Mixed sex toilets/showers and no toilet seats - Almost certainly a french thing we have to accept!! :-)
