喜欢 Lovely and quiet. Great addition having the day room with snooker table and pool table, especially when the weather is not so good to get out and about and when the pub/restaurant on site is shut.

不喜欢 Shower/ toilet blocks are in need of some TLC

喜欢 The friendliest site we've visited since getting a caravan In terms of touring, there's just 6 pitches, which is ideal for us, as even though we have two children, we do like a peaceful holiday. The pitches are clearly well maintained (as is the whole site) and serviced (bonus) and very close to the facilities (toilet/ shower and laundry) which just makes the stay more comfortable. The toilets and shower block were always clean whenever we needed to use them. One of the big stand outs for us was the staff, they were really helpful and friendly. In reception they were really helpful and the maintainance guy Paul (I think he was called) was really friendly, welcoming and informative. The 'locals' with the statics were also so friendly and welcoming, we didn't get any Royston Vasey vibes and this made for a much more comfortable stay. The site is located near the river which is good for the dogs to go for a swim or for a small fee, you can fish on the river - we did catch a few fish. We also took our bikes and whilst you can't ride on site there are several roads surrounding the area you can ride along (we saw a lot of cyclists too). Plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area so it makes for a good base but failing that, the on-site pub restaurant was again very clean, friendly and welcoming and there's a few Red Kites that fly in the area to watch. We will be considering another visit/ stay here.

喜欢 Lorraine and David are really helpful and friendly and were really good with our youngest daughter. The site is lovely and was quiet for the majority of our stay. There is a large clubhouse being built (to replace the current one) and it looks like its going to be fab. We are thinking about re-booking for summer (still plenty more places within a short drive to visit) and we hope that's when the site will be in full swing. The golf was fun (albeit the green not quite ready) and my husband did a couple of hours fishing whilst we were there. It was also really lovely watching all the little rabbits racing around on the nature reserve.

不喜欢 It was a little bit like the site was waking up from a long nap. The existing club was closed, which was a shame considering the weather was good whilst we were there and we expected (based on the pitch up description) for this to at least be open (in line with the roadmap). This is the only reason why I didn't give the site a 5/5. One small thing I would like to see is perhaps a fenced off area within the site to allow dogs to be walked/ go to the toilet safely off their lead. There is the beach 15 mins away but it would be more relaxing to have something closer (considering you're on holiday). It doesn't need to be large but would be helpful for the first thing in the morning and later in the evening toilet requirements.

喜欢 Quiet, friendly site, even though it was a busy period, it didnt feel that way for us. Mike was very welcoming and accommodating, especially as we had arrived later than anticipated, he updated us on what we needed to know in the short term and let us set up to 'sort everything' the following day, which was great with two children who were hungry after a long travel, I could focus on them. Whilst you cant walk dogs (off lead) on site, you could do this near the lane and fields, a stone throw away from the site, so handy for dog owners. Overall the site was clean and tidy too, although we used the facilities in our caravan, so I cant comment on the shower, toilet blocks but I would constantly see Mike attending to these (bearing in mind how busy the site is). The pitch itself was fab. We have a very long single axle caravan and the pitch was really spacious and level. We also had our small awning with us and there was plenty room for that and our car, without feeling like you were encroaching on your neighbours.

不喜欢 I had already read previous reviews about finding the opening to the site been difficult so I was prepared and was able to ask a local walking by (fortunate timing) but I did see a few other guests arriving looking a bit unsure of whether they had arrived at the right place. Like previous reviews, I would recommend a sign be put near the entrance to let people know it is Old Leake Leisure Park. Whilst we didnt have to, we saw another vehicle turning around with a caravan, on the narrow lane, I dare say this would have been difficult and not a great way to start your experience and as above, easily rectified with a bit of signage. There's not much for kids to do on the site (unless you bring your own entertainment) so please bear this in mind. Again wasnt an issue for us personally and children were playing out but something to be aware of.
