Great place for fishing and also relaxing

喜欢 Lovely stay, fishing lakes really big, caught a few big carp. Fishing was £7.00 a day, tackle shop was well stocked with everything you need. WiFi perfect, staff that we dealt with really helpful, toilets and showers very clean and warm, they were individual rooms with toilet, shower, sink. Pitches were a but close together but it wasn’t problem, we had enough room for our motorhome, awning and a car.
Site had onsite cafe and bar but didn’t use it, Shops also near by.

Good site for overnight stay
2026年9月 喜欢 Staff friendly and so helpful. Shop has a good range of products. We didn’t fish but had a walk around the grounds and plenty of people fishing. They are having work done but didn’t affect us at all, there is a road near but hardly any noise noticed from it. Good size pitches, showers and toilets nice and very clean.

You won’t be disappointed when you visit and you will be re booking

pitches are really big being, part gravel and grass, EHU and water if needed. Showers and toilets are very spacious and immaculately clean, staff were very friendly and really helpful. There’s a bus stop about a minute walk which takes you to Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne etc so no need to struggle finding parking in these popular places just hop on and off the bus.
The views are amazing and the site is very well maintained and again very clean. The sky at night here is amazing due to the low light pollution.
I know some had issues with the WiFi but it was only further down the site which is being extended so the whole site has full WiFi, but for now if you walk a couple of feet from your pitch it connects and is good signal so no problem. The site has everything you need, Washers, dryers, motorhome and rv disposal point, Elsan room, showers, toilets, wash room.
Keep up the good work we know you haven’t been running it for long but you should be very proud of what you have done so far. Thank you for a great stay and We will be back!
