喜欢 Greeted by owner upon arrival. Was able to choose own pitch. Pitches were flat. Hot Water for shower. The owner was extremely helpful and found a rod, cut to size and also had some duct tape when a pole snapped when pitching for an emergency fix. Few animals on farm, couple of pigs, geese, chickens. Was close to park and ride, and a retail park 10 min drive. Phone signal was good, could use data and make and recieve calls. Camp was fairly quiet.

不喜欢 The site is very basic at the moment I assume they are trialling it out to potentially expand in the future? With this in mind there was there wasn't anything we disliked. There's only 1 toilet and 1 shower but as we know this before we arrived (from other reviews, comments included owner owner looking to add more) this wasn't an issue. The only thing that I would recommend is either paper towels in the toilet or a dryer. And some hot water for the washing up sink.

喜欢 Campsite off road, no traffic noise. Nice campsite, generally flat pitches and generous size. Good sized amenities block, water hot. Hair dryers. Private basin cubicles, showers. WiFi worked well. Little play park for younger children. Space in middle of field for games. Facilities generally clean. Location- nearest town within 10 minutes. Lidl down the road. Check-in online-sent all information prior to arrival, pitch number, site map etc. No need to call in at reception, no worries about arriving out of hours.

不喜欢 Nothing as such. Comments- locks for private wash basins-previously had evidence of locks but been removed. Shower cleanliness-were clean enough to use, however noticed some debris still on floor after 24hrs, a little more attention to this needed. Site is dark at night a few lights would be great around the grounds, however the campsite recognise this and advise bringing a torch in the check-in information .

喜欢 Peaceful site, no noise from roads. Large pitches, plenty of water points, and choose your own pitch.

不喜欢 Phone signal poor, EE did not work at all. Showers need upgrading. were warm enough and did the job but only 3 showers. No freezer/icepack facilities. No wifi. Better shower facilities and complimentary wifi- to make up for the phone signal (which is out of the campsite's control) would make this site a lot better.

喜欢 Location. WiFi on site was good, security barriers into campsite-given code to enter so felt safe. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Noise levels during our stay were good. No one being excessively loud or a nuisance. There were kitchen utensils in the wash up area including washing up liquid and brushes, plates, cups which others have left behind for people to borrow should you have forgotten something. There were a selection of games and books to also borrow. A good selection of tourist information leaflets available. There was a small field for ball games etc. Ideal space for a play area in the future?

不喜欢 Not really anything we didn't like. Ventilation in shower block and toilet area could be improved. Drains smelt somewhat but there was air fresheners in place. Likely an issue out of campsites control. Just a suggestion for a bigger freezer for iceblocks. It was only a small draw in a fridge so there wasn't much space for everyone to use but was still appreciated of it being there. It would be good to see the wash up/shower/WC block refurbished in the future to include another couple of wash up sinks, a bigger freezer and modern showers.

喜欢 Flat pitches, location. Night security staff on club House door very helpful with their assistance. Nice walks around campsite.

不喜欢 That the showers in the female block were not working, a sign was up to use accessible shower, however that was locked, apparently you had to pay a £5 deposit for the key which we wasn't told at check in. The night security opened for me to use. Shouldn't have needed a key if other showers out of order and they're asking guests to use the disabled shower room. We were only there for one night but that still wanted to use the washroom in the morning and couldn't as was locked again. possibly guests with a key locking it??? So that was the only thing that could have been better.

喜欢 Location- approx 1 hr to Lands End, St Ives 40 mins, Falmouth, Perranporth 20 minutes. Redruth 10 mins - supermarkets Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Morrisons. Quiet village location. Nice medium sized campsite, mixture of tents, campervans and caravans. Campsite guests during our stay were considerate with noise levels Was a microwave and a large chest freezer which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful on check in Wifi included- great for checking emails Never had to queue for wc/ showers Hair dryer in wc block Could hear owls at night . Got woken up each night from the resident hedgehog in our tent had to pick up on spade, just a bit annoying. It's nature fair enough, just glad it wasn't a rat!! Would stay here again. Would be great if the campsite could make a few improvements/take note of as listed below for a more enjoyable stay.

不喜欢 Not much to dislike, just a few comments of things I felt could have been better/improved Cleanliness of wc/shower block. They wasn't filthy but didn't feel like they were cleaned enough, especially the floor. There was dirt/dust around cubicle legs throughout our stay/ grass bits etc, talc. Toilets were cleaned in mornings had cleaner down but not always was the paper refilled. Mop for shower area had old water in. Showers were ok, but could do with refurbishment. Grout/silicone grubby. Water was warm adequate to shower but could have been a little warmer Hand drier was slow, needs upgrading/paper towels Water in hand basins not very warm, taps hard to press on Wifi if had to pay for it would have complained but ok for checking emails, probably due to our pitch location worked better near wc block

喜欢 Good Central location for many of Cornwall's attractions. Clean facilities. WiFi was free but needed more boosters around the site. Ended up having to stand outside reception to connect. Could do with a bar/cafe/TV/games room using the empty units on site. Would be good to see a play area for kids in the future. Staff were friendly and helpful.

不喜欢 Only 2 toilets & 2 shower in block not enough to cater for a Campsite with 50 pitches. Water flow to showers was poor especially at peak times. Although this issue isn't fault of the campsite (local water supplier&/Hill location) However the campsite was only recently purchased by company not long before covid lockdown so hopefully in time they will refurbish the wc and resolve the above issues with the water company etc.

喜欢 Friendly staff, clean facilities and tidy site. The Covid safety upon site was excellent. We felt very safe and did not affect our stay.

不喜欢 Would have been helpful if more information was given prior to booking about having to pay for showers. It was a bit of a surprise when we arrived to find out we had to pay. Although they were at a reasonable cost £1 for 6 minutes. Possibly not the fault of the campsite itself that this information was not included in the pitch up site details?

喜欢 Location was great, within 20 miles of St Ives, Newquay, Falmouth. 1 mile from beach which a free shuttle bus runs each day. Easy access to Redruth where there was a choice of shops for supplies, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Morrisions, Iceland Well kept site, beautiful grounds, grass very well kept, level pitches. Excellent facilities, clean showers & toilets. Even had sink cubicles for wash if you didn't want to shower. Washing up area best we've seen. Washing up bowl, and drainer supplied in each sink. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Made to feel very welcome.

不喜欢 Was nothing we disliked about the site to give reason not to return. Felt the rules for children playing could have been a little more relaxed within reason, ie at appropriate times of the day for kids running around. As a suggestion there could have been a little more lighting for night time, ie some low level lighting.

喜欢 Our door play area was good for children. Location for several sightseeing places was good. Toilet & shower areas basic, however clean & hot water. Outdoor swimming again, basic, not so warm as an indoor, but great for a hot sunny day with sun beds & few chairs.chip shop & costcutter store, local pub/inn in village. Ideal for people who want a pitch to come back to after a day out with basic amenities.

不喜欢 In door soft play/bowling & bar only open in evenings on certain nights. Drinks were over priced. The hot water for wash up area was hit and miss. Some tent pitches were nearer to the road so there was some traffic noise. Felt the pitches were a little over priced for what got.
