Long days lounging among scenic and spacious Cornish surroundings and easy access to both north and south Cornwall are offered up at St Day Tourist Park, a small and peaceful place in the rural setting of old Cornish mines a couple of miles from Redruth. St Day's centrally located setting has it five minutes from St Day village and niftily placed between north and south Cornwall to use as a base to get to both; Falmouth on the south coast and Portreath on the north are both within 15 minutes' drive. (If you'd rather get around by bus, regular services to Redruth and Truro run from the village.) Amenities include a centrally set and immaculately kept modern shower block with toilets, basins and free hot water; also on hand are a launderette with washing machine, dryer, tumble dryer and ironing facilities, and water points, chemical waste disposal and washing-up facilities handily set near the shower block. Wifi is available on site for an extra fee. St Day village, five minutes' walk away, has a supermarket, a newsagent and a pub serving fish and chip takeaways as well as meals to eat in. Dogs are welcome at the park, but must be exercised off site and kept on leads at all times when back at base.

喜欢 Fantastic location for getting to both north and south coast beaches/towns,clean and well looked after showers/toilets. Booked a extra night as the weather was better to pack away the tent the next day rather than wet and windy.. at first our pitch was booked but the owner managed to move a few things and let us pay for another night. Very friendly and close to local village pub and shops (walking distance easily) would definitely return in a heartbeat!

喜欢 Good sized pitches. Quiet site. Easy access. Central position means access to both coasts and many tourist sites. Friendly family site.

不喜欢 Poor servicing of bathrooms. Cleanliness, stocking of toilet rolls and soap, emptying of bins. Cleaning of floors and showers. In full season it would just need checking twice a day. It was a shame because this was the only downside to a this site.

喜欢 Exceptionally Tidy site, well maintained & organised. The best camp site we have visited to date, was very helpful in supplying an required power cable having ourselves never encountered an electric pitch before as we was missing this cable, was resolved quickly.

Highly recommended.

喜欢 Beautiful, well kept and maintained site. The owner was extremely lovely & helpful. Felt very welcome. Quiet, nice space and hedges for each pitch. Toilets, showers and wash up room in the same block which was really helpful. Not far to walk to. Very secure & safe. The toilets and showers were very clean and smelt really nice. Water taps in each area. Play area for children. I’d recommend staying there for anyone. Couples or even families. Post office and 4 shops near by walking distance and also family pubs. Also WiFi included for 3 devices.

不喜欢 Maybe could do with more bins around the site. But they did have an area for the recycling.

St Day Tourist Park's central location means it's within easy driving distance of most of Cornwall's well-known spots, like Truro, Falmouth and St Ives 10, 15 and 20 minutes away, the spectacular scenery of Land's End within 50 minutes, and beaches and surfing all around. Portreath and Porthtowan are the two closest beaches, about 10 minutes' drive to the north and with good surfing, kayaking and a café each. Ramble between them for a scenic up and down hike via the South West Coast Path, going on to St Agnes or Godrevy from Portreath if your legs can take it. A leisure centre, fishing, golf, horse riding, flea market, surfing, spectacularly scenic walks and views are all within easy reach of the site, as well as the remnants of Cornwall's mining history at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St Agnes (15 minutes). From Porthtowan, hike along the three and a half miles to Chapel Point, via the old engine house at Wheal Coates.
