喜欢 We’ve just had a stay at Whitemead Caravan Park in Wool, Dorset, and we were really impressed. The site is fantastic — very clean, very well looked after and you can see the amount of care that goes into it. It’s not just the initial set-up; there is clearly a lot of pride taken in the daily upkeep, cleaning and general presentation of the whole site. The staff were friendly and very welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were shown to our pitch, which was a lovely touch and made the arrival very straightforward. The toilets and showers were absolutely immaculate. They were clearly cleaned and maintained to a very high standard, and throughout the site there is a real sense that cleanliness and presentation are taken seriously. There’s a mixture of grass and gravel pitches. Personally, I have a preference, but it’s good to have the choice, and the pitches and surrounding areas are very well maintained. For dog owners, there’s a field down a track where you can exercise your dog, which is a really useful facility and means you don’t have to go far from the site for a decent bit of exercise. The location is another big plus. The Ship Inn is only about a five-minute walk from the entrance to the site. You simply cross the road, walk over the footbridge and you’re practically in the pub car park. We found it to be a great pub and restaurant — very convenient after a day out. Another thing that really stood out to us was the signage. It has clearly been thought about and is superbly composed and kept tidy around the site. It’s informative and provides all the necessary safety information without making the site look cluttered. Overall, you can see that a huge amount of thought, effort and pride goes into running Whitemead. It’s the attention to detail and the daily care that really makes a difference. A genuinely lovely, well-maintained and welcoming site. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

喜欢 We had a fantastic stay at this campsite and would happily return. The pitches are flat, spacious, and many have lovely grass, making them perfect for tents, caravans, or motorhomes. The staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They also spoke excellent English, which made everything so easy. The shower and toilet facilities were consistently clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The on-site bar was a real bonus, offering a great atmosphere along with a good selection of meals, bar snacks, and children’s meals, making it ideal for families. Overall, it’s a well-run, friendly campsite with excellent facilities, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

不喜欢 The only slight downside was that our pitch was a little smaller and much more gravelly than many of the others, despite there being some larger pitches available during our stay. It wasn’t a major issue and didn’t spoil our holiday, but it’s something to be aware of when booking.

喜欢 Good stop off either just arrived or just on way back to the Uk. Pitches relatively level. Clean showers &toilets. A good site for families with young children and older couples once you know what’s what. There is a bar that looks good but I didn’t go in. Every one on the site was friendly.

不喜欢 Not really any staff available! No one to greet us despite arriving within the time frame. Tried ringing the bell at reception as instructions on the door suggest, nothing. Phoned the mobile number 3 times eventually got a response. Managed to get details of pitch id booked and set up. Showers need tokens, no one in reception when I needed a shower, again times on the door suggest it’s manned. I was only staying for two nights so from the off didn’t know anything as no one saw us in. I believe because I’m English the lady on reception was maybe a bit more reserved in that she distanced herself from us. It’s a shame because her English wasn’t as bad as perhaps she thought it was. I have put that down to being a bit shy. Having said all this I would still go again. It’s not one I would ever say to avoid. I would recommend but explain to people what to expect.

喜欢 Lovely site, friendly welcome. Showers toilets, I’ve never seen such amazing facilities on a campsite. The shower block is very modern and something you’d see in a top hotel. The pictures don’t do them justice at all. Spotlessly clean. I expected them to be nice but you need to see them for yourself. The pitches are huge reasonable level. Great swimming pool. Mobile shop arrives every morning at 9am and has many food items if you don’t want venture out. The owners are both very helpful and very approachable. Great for families with children or just couples like us. I was lucky to discover this through pitch up. I’ll definitely return and stay longer now I know it’s there. WiFi worked really well and was complimentary. Nothing not to like.

喜欢 This is an amazing site. Pool, perfect. Cleaned everyday, the owner is out first thing every morning and last thing in the evening making it perfect for everyone. Bar is just across from the pool making it easy to grab a refreshing cool beverage. Pitches are huge and flat. Toilets and showers are kept spotless. The owners who run the site are really decent people. My French is very poor but they make such a good effort to help in every way it’s not a problem. There is table tennis, tennis courts, huge field to run, play games etc. Mini farm you can visit and see the animals.

喜欢 On arrival the owner was really pleasant. We both felt at ease immediately. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. All facilities were very well maintained and clean. Including the swimming pool as the manager cleaned early every morning ready for each day plus checks throughout the day.

不喜欢 The pool is excellent with a water slide. Unfortunately the water slide was only turned on occasionally. Mainly when children were in. As a more mature camper I didn’t want to be the one to ask for it to be turned on but did miss out and didn’t get chance to have a go.

喜欢 Quiet site. Everyone one on the site were really genuine nice friendly people. The owners Hugo and Nicole very attentive available at all times if needed. Hugo has extensive local knowledge and was happy to spend time with us talking in detail, his English is excellent. Hugo and Nicole, went above and beyond and took us and another couple to a local brewery, where we could see the process of making the beer and also sit and sample for a while. Stayed for 3 days on our way travelling around Europe for the summer, really pleased we did. Definitely recommend you stay if you are in the area. 不喜欢 Due to the season the facilities in the camping / motorhome area were all closed, no mention of this when booking plus no discount, very expensive for a pitch no other facilities used except filling a drum with water.

来自经理: Hi The toilets and kitchen at the bottom of the park close to the pitches are closed during the winter months as they are likely to freeze and damage the pipe work and loos but this is explained on the Pitchup website. However there are toilets and showers available at the top of the park which are kept open all year round these are a 2 minute walk from the touring pitches.

喜欢 Location quiet, wilderness setting, rural. Owner very friendly and helpful. Set up more than adequate tidy and clean.
