喜欢 Beautiful setting with two mountain walks starting direct from the campsite as well as a nice circular river / forest walk and beautiful views from every pitch on the site. There IS rubbish, recycling and compost bins on site as of August 2026 contrary to some of the previous reviews. Check-in was seamless even though we arrived late - If reception at the main house at entrance is not open, Ajay is available at the caravan with the big Welsh flag that is just off the drive after the toilet block. The owner does leave some farm dogs out at the front but they did not seem aggressive. We walked our dog past and although there was some barking they kept away. The showers take a 50p coin but the water doesn't run out from what we see or have a time limit. The 20p coin-operated hot water in the kitchenette is not a concern given there is a kettle (and microwave) directly in the kitchen. Neither are problems - these are what keep nightly prices down! There is a small shared fridge and large shared freezer - unfortunately very packed the week we stayed there because it looks like it is never cleared out. The site is VERY dog-friendly. The access roads to the site are not as problematic for normal cars as made out in the other reviews. One route is clearly wider than others but we did not have issues driving a large 7-seater SUV. A couple times we encountered other vehicles and had to back up and allow space to pass. Contrary to the other reviews we all had decent mobile internet access on site throughout the stay (speed sufficient to watch Netflix streaming) using both ID/Three and Sky networks. The site also provides it's own WiFi free and clearly signposted at the washroom block but we didn't use it. The owner responded regularly and quickly to email. For children there were a couple nice play areas with makeshift swings / tires and of course area near the river to play .

不喜欢 The washrooms could use a more regular clean. However, we noticed that while we were there and blockages were created by neanderthals putting diapers in the toilet, the site manager was attentive and fixed quickly. The freezer could be a great shared utility but unfortunately limited in use because it is completely stuffed full and appears not to receive a regular clean-out (the same large bags of peas and frozen water bottles and many other items stayed in position for one week we visited). The site should consider having one morning per week where the entire contents remaining are disposed of if not taken. No pubs or grocers within walking distance. Closest pub is one hour walk but a quick drive Labeled as having fishing available and, although there is a river, it was far too shallow when we visited to catch anything , and there appeared to be blockages with water impossibly shallow for fish to traverse on either end of the site. Maybe due to drought but the site owners should consider posting where to try and fish and what size is expected (I assume small)

喜欢 Spacious pitch. Easy check in for later arrival.. Farm shop at front open very good hours (approx 9 to 5) Quiet and mature people. Great location (for driving). Children's playground. Nice facilities - washer, dryer (paid) , fridge and freezer . Clean washrooms. owners contactable til 8pm

喜欢 Spacious pitches and really quiet.. seems to attract sensible people. Very warm washrooms. and shower water which was nice. Beautiful walking paths in every direction right from the site,. and a five minute drive or 45 minutes walk to a fabulous farm shop / market hall in Denstone. Friendly staff. Nice little. playground.

不喜欢 Had to wait occasionally for toilets as there were only two per gender.

喜欢 Stayed in non electric tent. Very big place and quiet. Huge areas to leave pitch. Many spotlessly clean toilets. BBq hire with sack of wood 15 pounds which saved us bringing our own. Ten minute walk to nearby pub. Very convenient driving access to Sheringham and nearby beaches. Very friendly owners. No shop on site but nearby drivable and not really needed given the nearby pub! We had no problems with mobile phone internet. Excellent value for money.

喜欢 Quiet and well behaved campers..Huge site with plenty of space. Nice little play park area for children. Many, many canoes ton rent. Warden drives around all day and in evenings late if you need firepit or firewood. Plenty.of clean toilets and showers with warm water. The site is very wildlife friendly and wildlife conscious. Lot of playing space for children and hedges to do some exploring in

喜欢 So many things to do. Make your own campfire - if you do not have your own portable, then rent. If you do not have wood, they drive around and sell. A little forest walk behind the field and plenty of areas for children to play there. A nice little playground on the site. Indian restaurant next door. Five minute walk to steam train and boat rental and cafe, and a couple more minutes to a pizza place, ice cream shop and nice pub. Quick check in . Very clean bathrooms. We will be returning.

不喜欢 We could not use the shop on site because the couple times we tried the owners were busy (one time this was delivering wood around the site ) and the hours or location did not seem to be sign posted.
