喜欢 Good sized pitches, clean, friendly staff. I have read some other reviews about weeds on pitches etc, that wasn’t my experience. Cakes on reception and a small shop. I will definitely return.

不喜欢 There was banging like crow scarers in the daytime, might have been a local farm but spooked the dog. Hard to hold that against the site. Very strict check in time, difficult to judge traffic and timings, so could be inconvenient.

喜欢 Very quiet site, the bar is fantastic but only open Friday and Saturday. Saw deer just outside the site gates. Staff are all friendly. Shower wasn’t one of the push button ones. Lakes look stacked full of fish if that is your thing. Lots of wildlife.

不喜欢 There are a family of Canada Geese that have made the site a home. Quite a lot of Goose poop around the place.

喜欢 One of the friendliest sites I have visited. They make such an effort from lighting a bonfire every night, putting on 90’s themed nights. I stayed there 10 years ago and Chris remembered me.

不喜欢 If I put anything here it would be really picky and not note worthy really.

喜欢 Cleanliness, location, friendliness of staff. So much to like. One of my favourite sites.

不喜欢 My pitch, I was put near a lot of crows nests. They were loud. Also the pitch was in the shade most of the day, especially the afternoon. There were other pitches available the whole time that were much better. They know about the crows, I felt they could have put me somewhere else, being my first visit I was unaware of the crow issue, they were aware when I talked to reception. The wifi was turned off at points I felt as it vanished in the evenings until the middle of the next day.

喜欢 Beautiful site, friendly staff, pick your own pitch. Clean and well maintained.

不喜欢 Restaurant food, the pizza was as hard as a frizbee, i have burnt oven pizzas that were better. Saw a rat near the bins, can’t be helped but still not nice.

喜欢 Restaurant, staff, size of pitches.

不喜欢 Gates locked from 10pm to 7am, we had to stay offsite 2nd night due to the timing of our tunnel train which is inconvenient. The pitches on our side all had a but of a slope, not a big deal though. Not allowed in the pool with swimming shorts, seems to be the rule all over France, budgie smugglers only. Not sure what the reason for this is?!

喜欢 Excellent site, very clean, great sized pitches, stream through the site is beautiful, easy check in.

不喜欢 Only sour point is people don’t respect your pitch. Every day there were people walking on our pitch, some just walking their dogs, others to access the water tap between ours and the next pitch. I thought the tap was for the 2 pitches use but everyone staying in the tents across from us used the tap at the back of our pitch. The pitch next to us the other side attached a hose directly to their water hog from the tap, so no one else could use their tap. A couple of pitches down from us had access to the stream behind their pitch, so i guess people walked through their pitch too. Neither of these are a massive problem other than our dogs are a bit defensive of our space (all noise), they did manage to pull our table over with drinks on once when we had a visitor 😂. Access roads to the site are single track at parts too.

喜欢 The restaurant was very good. Couldn’t fault the breakfast. The facilities were clean. The breakfast waitress was really friendly, she even gave our dogs attention without being able to stroke them due to cleanliness. Loved the tortoise and parrot on site too. We loved looking out of the awning at moor hens mooching about each morning.

不喜欢 The pitches are very tight, we have an average sized 4 berth caravan and barely fit, our wastehog had to sit on the pitch behind. People with fishing gear regularly cut through the tight pitches, when the pitches are full there is little room between the car on the pitch next to us and our awning, people still cut between them with fishing gear. I know its not the sites fault but there was a lot of shooting taking place close by on 2 days out of our 4 day stay, this wouldn’t have been a problem but one of our dogs is very noise sensitive, it was as loud as fireworks and our dog was terrified so we had to spend these days away from the site. We were booked in the restaurant one of the days the shooting was happening on the Sunday, we had to cancel the booking because of it for the dog, the waitress had a go at us for not cancelling sooner, we would have but were out in the morning and came back to the noise. I can’t blame the site for the noise but its worth noting if you have a dog with noise sensitivity, also the waitress we cancelled the booking with could have been more understanding especially as we had to find somewhere else to eat last minute.

喜欢 The Fishing lakes were brilliant for short walks around, the dogs loved it. The people on a seasonal pitch were very friendly. My girlfriend loved the swimming pool which she had to herself. The showers were clean and kept hot water.

不喜欢 Neither the restaurant or the café allowed dogs, as you can't leave them in a car or caravan we weren't able to visit these places. They have a specified cleaning time for the toilets/shower block, the cleaner came really early on the Sunday while I was showering and made me feel like I had to rush. They put us on a pitch right at the back of the lot when they had pitches with a lake view available which would have been nice. Our hard standing pitch wasn't very level. Minor niggles from an otherwise good stay. None of these points would put me off another stay.

喜欢 Very clean site. Very quiet and peaceful. Friendly staff. We had a takeaway delivered direct to our pitch too which you don't always get.

不喜欢 Only small niggles barely worth mentioning, one could be solved easily but the other can't. We got up early a couple of mornings, about 7ish and there was no hot water in the showers. We couldn't find a decent pub nearby for food that would allow our dogs (within walking distance). We found some with a short drive, the roads around the site are quite tight also, quite hilly and single lane at times, we had to jam the breaks on for speeding oncommers several times. Like i said, tiny niggles on an otherwise great stay.

喜欢 Can't fault this campsite, the facilities were spot on! Great little bar and good banter with barkeep and manager Chris. He didn't even moan much when my girlfriend peppered his wall with darts rather than the board provided. It really was terrible weather, gale force winds, sleet, hail, snow, rain and freezing temperatures but this didn't dampen our spirits, Chris was kind enough to loan us an oil radiator and we just spent more time in the bar than the tent during evenings. Chris even gets the football on for you which is a nice touch. The site is close to Criccieth, Pwllheli and Abersoch so in an ideal location. We spent plenty of time on various beaches and in various bars. The campsite requires you keep your dogs on lockdown all the time due to roaming chickens but this was not a problem. I did sit with my Brother while he fished the small lake/pond, no catches but Chris came and gave advice on where and what time to fish. Nice little hut providing cooked food was open at the weekend, it wasn't busy enough for it to be open all week. Great chips and cheese!! Free Wifi but doesn't really work once the site starts getting busy, you are supposed to be camping anyway so put the phones away. I would stay here again definitely and hope for better weather next time!
