Company continues its expansion into Europe
Italy is the second biggest camping market in Europe*
Outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com has announced the appointment of a new Italian sales consultant as the company continues to expand further into the European markets.
Mariolina Muoio joined the company this year in a newly created role designed to boost the number of sites available in Italy on Pitchup.com. The company already features 27 Italian sites including the country’s only Airstream campsite, but with Mariolina joining it’s anticipated that by the end of 2015 the number of sites will be well over 100.
Italian-born Mariolina brings a wealth of experience to the role having started her career in the travel industry back in 2000. Mariolina has worked across many parts of the industry including sales, marketing and contract management prior to joining Pitchup.com.
Pitchup.com founder Dan Yates said: “Mariolina has joined us as we are entering our busiest season yet. Our portfolio has already far exceeded the number of bookable sites compared to its peak in June last year and we’re hoping that Mariolina will be able to achieve similar success in Italy.
“Just two years ago we launched into Europe, offering a handful of sites in France. We now offer campsites in 14 European countries with close to the 500 mark in France, and would like to be able to offer our customers a similar level of choice in Italy. With Mariolina’s knowledge, experience and industry contacts we have no doubt we’ll achieve our goals.”
