Facebook® data used to power campsite recommendations

Pitchup.com has launched a new 'Top 10 Campsites as liked by Facebook users' tool, using data generated by the platform's 750 million users to rank and recommend its 5,000 campsites and holiday park listings.
Data from users who 'like', send, comment on or share a Pitchup.com listing are automatically pulled in to generate a top ten, refreshed daily. This information is displayed on the homepage for users to view the top recommended campsites and holiday parks.
In addition to a generic top ten, Pitchup.com will be able to create top tens for its range of 80 facets such as family friendly and sites that allow campfires or for specific locations such as Devon.
Pitchup.com will feed back this data to site managers who wish to score their own accommodation against their competitors – making it a useful tool for marketing planning.
Online brands that wish to create a customised top ten relevant to their own audience can work with Pitchup.com to create tailored lists that they can embed on their website.
