Camping Playa y Fiesta

This is a stunning part of Catalonian coast, on a beach in the famed Mediterranean tourist destination of the Costa Dorada. A long length of shoreline, spectacular sandy beaches, and comely old towns like Cambrills and Salou are the main themes around here – and if you seek something more adrenalised, PortAventura World is only about 15 kilometres or 20 minutes' drive away. Among the many popular places to visit in the region, and particularly recommended by the Camping Playa y Fiesta team, is the town of Mont-roig del Camp within 10 minutes' drive, made up of the historic town of Mont-roig del Camp and the beach resort of Miami Platja. The beach has a packed programme of summer entertainment and activities for all ages, including paddleboarding and kayaking trips, weekly family bike rides, exercise classes and family days. Also recommended are Cambrils, home of peaceful beaches and a well-known marina, reachable by car in under 15 minutes; the spectacular and UNESCO-listed old ruins of Tarragona, 20 minutes away; and the fab old city of Reus, a must-see for its many sights including the Bofarull Palace and the Plaza Mercadal del Ayuntamiento or city hall.
