A setting by the Mediterranean Sea… in a region rich in history and Catalan traditions… and on a part of Costa Dorada coastline only 20 minutes' drive from PortAventura World and Tarragona... you'll want to have many nights' siesta at Camping Playa y Fiesta.
By day, there's a stunning Costa Dorada beach (see pics) to bask on or swim from, and big sunbathing areas to soak up the Spanish sun. If you're feeling sporty, the team arranges regular tournaments and activities such as aqua gym in high season; there's a multisports area with indoor football and basketball facilities, and table tennis, beach volleyball and pétanque are all available to keep your energised self occupied too. Fishing and a games room are to hand as well if you're not feeling very sporty at all.
But. The big part of this park is undoubtedly the outdoor pool, big enough to take a whopping total of 450 splashing holidaymakers without creaking at the seams. That doesn't include kids, who have their own sizeable paddling pool to dip into while the grownups float lazily around the main pool or sunbathe on the loungers alongside.
And then as evening falls… Camping Playa y Fiesta also has a restaurant, serving up a fine selection of local and international dishes, and a bar with roomy terrace for you to sink into as the sun goes down – like most places on site, this comes with a side helping of spectacular sea views too.

The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.- Group bookings of 10 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).

Local attractions
This is a stunning part of Catalonian coast, on a beach in the famed Mediterranean tourist destination of the Costa Dorada. A long length of shoreline, spectacular sandy beaches, and comely old towns like Cambrills and Salou are the main themes around here – and if you seek something more adrenalised, PortAventura World is only about 15 kilometres or 20 minutes' drive away.
Among the many popular places to visit in the region, and particularly recommended by the Camping Playa y Fiesta team, is the town of Mont-roig del Camp within 10 minutes' drive, made up of the historic town of Mont-roig del Camp and the beach resort of Miami Platja. The beach has a packed programme of summer entertainment and activities for all ages, including paddleboarding and kayaking trips, weekly family bike rides, exercise classes and family days.
Also recommended are Cambrils, home of peaceful beaches and a well-known marina, reachable by car in under 15 minutes; the spectacular and UNESCO-listed old ruins of Tarragona, 20 minutes away; and the fab old city of Reus, a must-see for its many sights including the Bofarull Palace and the Plaza Mercadal del Ayuntamiento or city hall.
