Fancy a few days of sand and salty sea dips? Place oneself at Camping Cambrils Caban, a family-friendly site in Cambrils on the Costa Daurada. Here, not only are you a 20-minute drive from the Catalonia port city of Tarragona, but you're also under 500 metres from the sea. And, very kindly, there's also an outdoor pool (unheated) right on site for hours of leafing through a book and breaking only for some breaststroke or a cocktail. You may feel like royalty here, with plenty on site to keep you busy, entertained and well looked after: there’s a playground for the kids, football, basketball and ping pong for the sporty (and a projector so football fans don’t miss any games) and pétanque for a taste of local pastimes. When food is beckoning, there’s no need to travel too far – there’s a bar-restaurant next to the pool for quick snacks, welcome ice creams, refreshing cocktails and sit-down meals, and an on-site supermarket should have everything needed for evening barbecues. There’s so much to do on site, it’d be easy to never leave, but be sure not to miss out on this gorgeous part of Catalonia. Rent bikes on site for breezy cycles along the coast, or stay close to base with trips into the UNESCO-listed city of Tarragona for history, shops and thrills at theme parks and waterparks. 不喜欢 Closed the restaurant and pool early ever day instead of 7pm they closed them at 5pm. Unable to get food or drink on the evening.

喜欢 La place était bien assez grande un peu ombragé, électricité et eau gratuite, sanitaire et douche correcte.
Le service reception très correct

不喜欢 Un peu bruyant la musique le soir, je venais de faire 1000km j'aurais préféré un peu plus silencieux. Manque un peu d'éclairage pour les bornes de chemins.

不喜欢 O staff é desorganizado, principalmente na receção, no último dia de estadia saí durante o dia com a autocaravana, quando chegámos, já tínhamos o nosso lugar ocupado por outras pessoas que nos indicaram que tinha sido a receção a aloja-los. Após reclamação, deram-nos outro sítio, reparamos que estavam coisas pessoais nesse lugar e falamos com a receção a perguntar se tinham a certeza que aquele lugar estaria livre e eles disseram que sim, e que o pessoal da manutenção mais tarde iria recolher os artigos pq de certeza que seriam esquecidos. Tal não veio a comprovar, uma vez que, as pessoas desse lugar chegaram após a recolha dos objetos. Acho que deviam rever melhor os dias de estadia que cada lugar antes de dar a alguém.

What’s a getaway without some beach time? There’s an excellent sandy stretch of the Costa Dorada just over a five-minute walk from the site for strolls, sandcastles and swims, and a watersports centre is five minutes' drive away for getting out in the water to give paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking and windsurfing a go. To get to grips with everything below the waves, try a diving centre (within walking distance) or keep the water-based activities altogether more controlled with an afternoon (or a whole day) Aquopolis waterpark (15 minutes). If that's got the kids screaming for more, never fear: PortAventura World is a 10-minute drive away. The whole family can get adrenaline spiking on theme park rides, cool off in the waterpark, or (and?) live out car racing dreams at Ferrari Land, less than 15 minutes from the site. Something for the grownups? A full explore of the coastal towns and villages comes highly recommended, with a stop at Tarragona (20 minutes) for a cute Old Town, lots of UNESCO sites, stellar museums and plenty of shopping. Not ready to head home? Celebrate a successful holiday with a tour of the dozen or so vineyards and wineries within an hour.
