Days out in Sintra and Lisbon, or coastal times on the beach at Azenhas do Mar? Plonk yourselves down within easy reach of them all at Sintra Camping Garden, a small touring site in the gardens of a property in the village of Janas. This is a most strategic spot for outings around the Cascais area – it’s five minutes' drive to the coast, 15 minutes to the fairytale-like buildings of Sintra or around 40 minutes to the vibrant streets of Lisbon. Not brought a car? Flag down a bus for the ride to Sintra (and then on to Lisbon if you so desire) or borrow one of the site’s four bikes for local exploring – they’re free to use (thumbs up for free things…). There’ll be no need for wheels in order to sort eats – a well-equipped kitchen on site has a gas cooker, microwave and fridge. Supplies can be picked up in the village five minutes away on foot, where there’s a couple of supermarkets and a bakery as well as restaurants and coffee shops if you’d rather eat out. Back at base there’s plenty of scope for sunbathing, snoozes and snacks – sun loungers, outdoor sofas and shaded tables are scattered around the place for just those purposes. Should the weather get a bit toasty, slope off for a dip in the swimming pool before hosing off in one of the site’s hot showers.

喜欢 Site close to Sintra.

不喜欢 Small pitch. Had to move as staff didn’t talk to each other. Moved near what smelled like septic tank. No lights to toilet at night. Hard to find as no signs on door. Tight access with overgrown plants rubbing sides of vehicle.

We would like to clarify that you parked in a spot was already in use from another guest that simply went out for grocery shoping. We asked you to move to another spot for the same reason.Regarding having difficulty finds us we always recommend navigating with google maps and you will arrive at our front gate.

Great place to stay - gorgeous pool and a small village to shop in !

喜欢 The family feel of the place - the other campers (some longer term I think) were so helpful and Sam who was there instead of Carlos was fantastic .
It felt like a community rather than a campsite !

Would totally recommend it - we hope to return !

喜欢 De locatie is perfect om Sintra te bezoeken.
Voor 1 nacht alleen slapen was het oké voor ons, maar ik had er niet langer willen staan.

不喜欢 Het stond beschreven als een plek in de tuin voor 5 campers.
In werkelijkheid was heel het terrein volgepropt met meerdere kleine tentjes, 3 oude caravans waar mensen en soort vast plek hebben en dan nog 5 campers. Erg krap en chaotisch .

喜欢 Der Pool war in Ordnung. Unser Stellplatz war OK, da wir am Eck waren.

不喜欢 5 Camper würden auf einer kleinen Wiese zusammengequetscht. In der Früh roch es nach Kanal. Sanitäranlagen waren nicht sehr sauber. Und der Besitzer war nicht gerade freundlich. Außerdem müssten wir dem Besitzer noch 2€ pro Person geben. Keine Ahnung warum, müssten wir bei den anderen nicht.

喜欢 Petit camping tranquille. Merci a Carlos d avoir accepté que l'on reste une nuit de plus sans avoir réservé.
Tout y est.les sanitaires une pièce avec micro ondes, frigidaire,les condiments de première nécessité.
Vous pouvez vous déplacer jusqu'à au centre ville pour 7 euros en Uber.
Par contre pour le castello dos mouros, un peu cher(12 €).

喜欢 Más que un camping, es la finca privada de Carlos, y ha sido una experiencia estupenda. La finca está llena de árboles y flores, con mucha sombra y rincones muy agradables para descansar. Todo está muy cuidado y limpio.
Hay baños y duchas, un fregadero para lavar los platos y una cocina de gas con cuatro fogones que se puede utilizar. Además, se puede disfrutar de la piscina y de las tumbonas, lo que hace que la estancia sea todavía más agradable.
Carlos es una persona encantadora, muy amable y siempre atento a que todo esté bien. La finca está muy cerca de Sintra, pero al mismo tiempo es un lugar muy tranquilo, perfecto para desconectar y descansar. Por las noches hay mucha tranquilidad y se duerme muy bien.
Un sitio totalmente recomendable, especialmente si buscas un lugar tranquilo, agradable y con un trato cercano. ¡Volveríamos sin duda!

不喜欢 La peor experiencia de camping de mi vida. Es un particular que vive allí y alquila su jardín. Las parcelas son pequeñísimas y, concretamente en la nuestra, estaba la fosa séptica, y no había quien aguantara el olor. Además había unos perros de su propiedad (sucios y mal cuidados) que acampaban a sus anchas entre las parcelas (curioso que ellos publiquen que los perros están prohibidos). Además de los perros, que tenían querencia por la parcela nuestra, había varias gallinas sueltas.
Los servicios y zona de cocina eran insuficientes y sucios. Solo dos duchas y dos inodoros, unisex, y una fregona para que limpiaras tú mismo después de ducharte.
Me parece indignante que se permitan este tipo de negocios sin una supervisión seria que garantice unas condiciones mínimas.
No lo recomiendo en absoluto.

To the coast first? A fine choice. Aim for Azenhas do Mar (five minutes’ drive) to wander around a whitewashed seafront village and splash in seawater pools, or make a break to the beach at Praia das Maças (10 minutes), where the waves lend themselves well to surfing or bodyboarding, and there’s another saltwater pool if you decree the water too choppy for a swim. Stunning Sintra (15 minutes) is an absolute must-visit too – it’s packed with colourful palaces, cobbled streets and cracking views. The Moorish castle, the National Palace and Quinta da Regaleira estate are all worth a bit of your time, as is Pena Palace, a little further out of town (25 minutes from the site). There’s stacks of stuff to see and do in Lisbon (40 minutes): ride the trams, head up to São Jorge Castle for city views, amble through the Alfama district and seek out sweet treats at the best pasteis de nata bakeries. If you don’t fancy a city day, stay closer to home with a meander around Monserrate Palace and Park (10 minutes) or a stroll and a sip at Colares Regional Winery (five minutes).
