An Amsterdam break… but without the noise, crowds and expense that come with city centre stays? If that sounds like quite the combo, take a look at EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos, a peaceful North Holland site surrounded by woodland, canals and open spaces in the 2,500-acre Amsterdam Forest, 10 minutes’ drive from Amstelveen. Although you might not guess it from the gorgeous green surrounds (which lend themselves well to strolls, swims, bike rides and canoe trips), the site is just eight kilometres from Amsterdam’s city centre. Arguably the best way to get there (and to blend in with the locals) is to hire bikes on site and pedal off along a cycle lane through the Vondelpark to the city’s central attractions in around half an hour or so. For those who prefer to save their muscle power for meandering around museums, it’s also easy to ride into the centre via public transport – a bus stop is just outside the site, and there’s a metro station within walking distance as well. Handily, there’s also a direct bus to Schiphol airport (around 20 minutes away) for easy getaways by air or connecting with trains to other Dutch cities. Back at base, lots of essential facilities are sorted, including a shop and a launderette; there’s also a spacious bathroom block with plenty of toilets and showers.

喜欢 Der Stellplatz war sehr gut.

不喜欢 Die duschen und Toiletten sind veraltet und teilweise sehr abgenutzt.
Werden aber vom Personal sauber gehalten.
Ein Speise Restaurant hat uns gefehlt.
Der kleine Imbiss war nur am Wochenende geöffnet

喜欢 Stayed here for the last few years and really enjoyed it, close to Amsterdam doesnt take long to get there by bus and train

不喜欢 There was a few cats walking around and I saw one using the childrens sand area as a litter tray! Wasn't very nice to see especially where children play

喜欢 La proximité avec Amsterdam

不喜欢 des sanitaires pas propres. Le service de la machine à laver côté femmes, qui m'a pris 9 €, car malgré que je suivais les instructions, rien n'a fonctionné. Je suis donc allée côté hommes et j'ai remis 4.5€. Un voisin n''aimant pas les chiens, nous a fait des réflexions.

Pas loin d amsterdam à vélo.

不喜欢 Accueil ferme assez tôt et si vous voulez du pain, il faut aller à l'ouverture sinon, 1h après, il n'y a plus rien.

If it’s time for a few breaths of sea air, venture to the fishing village of Volendam (35 minutes) to eat by the harbour while locals wander about in traditional dress, or head west to Zandvoort (25 minutes) for beach days, strolls in the sand dunes or watersports including paddleboarding and kitesurfing.
