Flevoland is a laidback kind of place, and this family-friendly site fully reflects that vibe. Set in a quiet wooded area on the outskirts of Emmeloord, Camping Het Bosbad is a prime spot for checking out local flora and fauna, whether that's at the nearby kids' zoo (a 10-minute walk) or at De Weerribben-Wieden National Park (20 minutes' drive) If you’d rather cut down the kids' screen time, this shouldn’t be a problem with the well-equipped playground and ample green space where they can run around. Dogs are welcome on site on a lead, and can easily be walked off-lead directly outside the site or nearby (ask at reception for the locations). Older kids and adults may well prefer pedalling their way across the bike paths that crisscross the surrounding area: much of Flevoland was reclaimed from the sea not so long ago, meaning these lanes are flat even by Dutch standards. When you get hungry, set up a barbecue (alfresco dining comes highly recommended around these pastoral parts); a supermarket is less than a five-minute drive away in Emmeloord.

喜欢 Mooie ruime plekken op een rustige kleine camping. Alle voorzieningen aanwezig en vriendelijke eigenaren. Prima ligging voor bezoek aan Emmeloord, Urk en mooie routes per fiets.

不喜欢 Sanitair is verouderd maar wel schoon, douchen voor 1 euro is aan de korte kant, dat is wel minder!

喜欢 The family atmosphere, the family that own the park are very welcoming. They had a bingo night on one of the nights we stayed and they were very helpful, with our dutch being very basic. Showers and toilets were very clean and there was also a washing machine and dryer to use. The park is very clean and tidy and plenty of space to park your car at the pitch too.

不喜欢 The warm water didnt last very long while I was taking a shower

Alongside on-site facilities, there are plenty of leisure options in nearby Emmeloord, including an indoor/outdoor pool with a large sunbathing area (five minutes' walk), an athletics track (five minutes), riding stables (10 minutes) and a golf club (five minutes' drive). The town has plenty of shops and restaurants to visit, but those looking for proper retail therapy should head to Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet (half an hour). Further afield, many guests like to linger in beauty spots such as Kuinre (10 minutes' drive), the coastal village of Urk (20 minutes) or explore the canals and waterways of Giethoorn ('The Venice of the North') aboard a rented boat or barge (half an hour). Other splendid local villages include Blokzijl (20 minutes), a hub for watersports, and Vollenhove (20 minutes) with its tumbledown castle ruins. Green-fingered visitors may well appreciate the delicate floral specimens on show at the local orchid farm (10 minutes), while hardy outdoorsy types will doubtless want to make their way to De Weerribben-Wieden National Park (20 minutes). The latter is the largest fen in Europe, so guests have room to roam for as long as they please.
