All very pleasant indeed… family-friendly Camping Agrituristico Carso is small, scenic and set most handily between coast and countryside, 25 minutes' drive from Trieste. Your hosts are hailed consistently by previous guests for their friendly service and excellent local knowledge: they can point you in the direction of spots such as local natural bathing pools, popular hiking trails and beaches. Set on a working organic fruit and veg farm bought by the Quadracci-Plesnicar family in 1932, the site covers five hectares made up of meadows, woodland and organic farm fields, and has a firmly eco-friendly vibe with particular attention paid to saving water. Guests are welcome to pick their own fresh produce for family feasts, or procure fine fruit and veg specimens from the farm’s shop, in addition to local wines, honey and other tasty regional bits. A playground is to hand to amuse the littlies, and guests of all ages should have a hoot at the pool area or with wanders and picnics around around the farm’s grassy and shaded grounds. For indoorsy spells, hang out at the communal recreation room to surf away using the site’s free wifi. A barbecue area is on site, and a supermarket is a couple of minutes’ walk away.

喜欢 Facilities were really good - great showers!! Sinks/washing up facilities good too and a little farm shop for local delicacies.
Staff were all really friendly and helpful.
Great location to explore. Train station about 15 minute walk. WiFi available (didn't use so cannot comment on speed etc!).

不喜欢 Slightly nosey train tracks - but this stops after about 10pm and doesn't start until 7am - if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs!
If you're walking to the next little village to eat, be aware that it's along a fast main road and some parts aren't pavemented!

喜欢 Campeggio pulito, tranquillo, posizione ottima per raggiungere le spiagge limitrofi. Personalmente gentile e molto disponibile, producono un miele buonissimo. Consigliatissimo

喜欢 Very shady site, good size pitches . Not too far from Trieste for a day trip. Nice looking swimming pool, although we didn't use it. Good for families.

不喜欢 täranlagen quasi I'm Freien. Toiletten viel zu eng, Spiegel hängen zu hoch, keine Papierhandtücher, keine zusätzlichen Wasserstellen auf dem Gelände. Das heisst Wasser schleppen! Keine Umkehr für Gespanne möglich!

Ich glaube, dass Sie sich leider für eine Unterkunft entschieden haben, die nicht Ihren Bedürfnissen entspricht.
Die Sanitäranlagen sind nicht zur exklusiven Nutzung vorgesehen, sondern normale Gemeinschaftsanlagen.
Als das Personal sah, dass Sie Schwierigkeiten hatten, Wasser zum Wohnwagen zu transportieren (20 Meter Entfernung von den Toiletten zu Ihrem Stellplatz), bot es Ihnen spontan seine Hilfe an, die Sie gerne annahmen.
Es gibt keine Papierhandtücher, da wir uns vor einigen Jahren für elektrische Handtücher entschieden haben.
Die Spiegel befinden sich in zwei verschiedenen Höhen über den Waschbecken. Vielleicht haben Sie die hinteren nicht bemerkt, da Sie nur eine Nacht geblieben sind.
Wir wünschen Ihnen noch einen schönen Urlaub.

喜欢 We had a great time, after the busy traffic of Trieste it was nice to relax in the silence of the campsite. The staff was nice and polite. The craft beer is excellent!

喜欢 This camping is gorgeous! Each pitch has its own special feeling about it. The camping shop is nice, we particularly liked the selfmade cheese! The swimming pool is just big enough for a refreshing dive and enough space to do some sunbathing.
Because of the smaller size of the camping it has a very nice and cosy atmosphere. The sanitary is small, but suffices most of the times. The showers were excellent, enough warm water and water pressure. In terms of location, there is a supermarket very close by and a bus stop right around the corner which takes you to Triest within 45 minutes. Last but not least the owner and other staff there made us feel very welcome! We would love to come back there soon!

The surrounding countryside makes for a spectacularly scenic pedal-powered explore, or an equally pretty amble if you aren’t bringing your own bike. And, rather handily, a bus stop is right in front of the site should one not be faffed with either method… Camping Agrituristico Carso is a short drive from the sea: the seaport city of Trieste is 25 minutes’ south along the coast, with other handsome settlements such as Santa Croce Mare, Sorgenti di Aurisina and Grignano along the way. Also while journeying into Trieste, you could make another stop to see Grotta Gigante (literally ‘giant cave’) for one of its acclaimed guided tours. (Make sure to don your sturdy shoes and a cosy coat if so, because it’s a steep 500 steps on either side here and subterranean-style chilly inside.) Trieste is a smashing lesser-known Italian coastal city for urban days away from big tourist crowds: just across the bay from Venice, the city has many a handsome historic building to goggle, with two tiptop picks being the world’s tallest lighthouse, Vittoria Light on the hill of Gretta, and the cracking seafront fortress of Miramare Castle, which you can reach via a historic tram from Trieste’s centre. Also lovely is the city’s Piazza Unità d'Italia – and (top tip), it’s particularly picworthy at night.
